Dates: 1st and 2nd February 2018.

Government and electric vehicle experts from China, India, California, New Zealand and Australia, to name a few, will interact with CEOs of the major automotive industry players such as Audi and Nissan to pave the way for a transportation sector without fossil fuel. Energy experts and representatives from the oil and gas industry will discuss how this transformation will affect their sector.

Nordic EV Summit will take place at Raddison Blu Plaza Hotel in downtown Oslo on 1st and 2nd of February. The Norwegian EV Association, Teknisk Ukeblad, Nordic Energy Research and Electric Mobility Norway will be hosting this Summit. With more than 50 handpicked experts sharing their insights in dialogue sessions and keynotes, this is an event not to be missed!

By 2030, all cars sold in India and China will be electric. Debjan Pradan - the Indian Ambassador to Norway - will outline how this shift should unfold in his country. China, the biggest market and manufacturer of cars, have mandated a 10 percent production ratio of EVs by 2019 with a scale up in the years to come. Hyoungmi Kim from Natural Resources Defense Council, a global NGO, will explain how China makes their grid resilient. They will benefit rather than suffer from a massive increase in EV-charging through smart grids and Vehicle to Grid systems.

The State of California, the greenest and most populous State in USA, will be represented by Janea A. Scott from the California Energy Commission. Scott will explain how California are determined to continue their green lead and retain the position as the second biggest market for EVs in the world.

The Nordic EV-Barometre is a brand-new survey of prospective EV-owners. How many will become EV-owners within 2020, and more importantly, what holds them back from doing the switch? The survey has been commissioned by the Nordic EV Association and Nordic Energy Research.

Oil - the future or the past for Norway? Meet CEO of Norwegian Oil and Gas, Karl Eirik Schjøtt Pedersen and renowned energy analyst Torbjørn Kjus discuss with Jan Erik Saugestad from Storebrand Asset management. Are oil investment a risky business about to become stranded assets? How can Norway rid itself from its oil dependency?

European majors in the charging infrastructure business will discuss how large-scale charging can be rolled out in Norway, the Nordics and beyond.

CEO of Avinor, Dag Falk Pedersen, will explain how electric aviation is far from science fiction:

“Electric aircraft are set to significantly improve the environmental consequences of the aviation industry. It could also be cheaper to fly as operating costs for several aircraft models will be considerably lowered, which will have an impact on ticket prices”

Minister of Climate and Environment, Ola Elvestuen from the Liberal Party of Norway was recently appointed as minister in the newly formed blue/green coalition Government. He will explain how the coalition will promote a Norwegian Green transition. Elvestuen has been a strong EV advocate and of Nordic cooperation.

Parallel sessions will cover interesting topics, such as;

- Learn how the next wave of electrification is nautical.
- How green public procurement can speed up and lower the cost of climate- and energy friendly technologies and services
- How electric buses can become commonplace in cities
- How smart-charging can balance electric grids and EVs can become energy storage devices?
- How freight and construction machinery can become electric
