The entire vast content of the C More streaming service is now available to DNA’s C More channel package subscribers, without any additional charges. The content available for the subscriber is determined by the package they are subscribing to.

Customers will have access to an increasing amount of top-quality content that they can view anytime and anywhere. DNA’s C More subscribers can view the content of the C More streaming service in various ways: on a large TV screen at home through the DNA TV Hub or on a mobile device through the DNA TV application. Programmes can also be viewed on a computer at tv.dna.fi.

The offering includes thousands of hours of programmes every month – movies, series, documentaries and children’s programmes. The content includes an increasing amount of C More original productions that have their TV premieres in the C More streaming service. The major Finnish production this spring is the comedy series Sunnuntailounas, which will be shown starting from 29 March.

All content in the programme library will be available to the C More channel package subscribers without any additional charges.

“We are glad that DNA’s customers can now enjoy the entire content offering provided by C More. DNA is the largest cable operator and pay TV provider in Finland, so DNA’s customers form a significant group of new C More viewers,” says Johannes Leppänen, who heads MTV’s consumer business.

“The renewal provides DNA’s customers with the opportunity to enjoy the original C More series that premiere in the service. At the moment, the service provides the first seasons of the series Aallonmurtaja, which received a Venla award, and Onnela, the Finnish version of Solsidan. In addition, top sports moments such as live sports and recordings of live events are available in the C More streaming service. Front row seats will be available on C More when the F1 season starts on 25 March in Australia,” says Leppänen.

Easy with no separate log-in required

The use of the C More programme library has been made as easy as possible for DNA’s customers. When C More channel package subscribers select the C More programme library, they go directly to the C More streaming service – seamlessly and with no separate log-in or user ID required.

“For us, it is important that we can offer our customers all the top content of the C More programme library and the best possible user experience. Customers appreciate having all TV offering available for selection in one place – whether they view the content through the television networks or broadband,” says Mikko Saarentaus, Director at DNA’s Entertainment business.

“Using the C More programme library through the DNA TV Hub is an excellent example of the possibilities that Android TV has to offer. For us, developing the Hub was a strategic solution, with which we wanted to ensure an excellent customer experience and constantly expanding, high-quality services in co-operation with our competent and innovative partners,” Saarentaus continues.

The DNA TV Hub, which is based on the open Android TV ecosystem, combines top-quality TV channels and popular internet TV applications. TV channel broadcasts are received through either the antenna network, DNA’s cable network or as an IPTV service through broadband. The programme libraries, games and other content offering are accessed through the original service applications. In addition to C More, the DNA TV Hub also provides access to services such as MTV Katsomo, Ruutu, Yle, Areena and Netflix.

BACKGROUND INFO:

What is C More, and highlights of the C More streaming service content
The C More product family is comprised of the streaming service (cmore.fi) and the C More channel packages: C More Total, C More Sport and C More. The core of C More is the streaming service that is directed to Finns and was launched in February 2017. C More gathers Hollywood movies, popular international series, interesting documentaries, new domestic series and Nordic favourites into one service. In Finland, in addition to its other diverse sports offering, C More is the only channel offering live broadcasts of all F1 races and ice hockey world championship matches – and children’s entertainment that is always dubbed or subtitled in Finnish. C More is investing in domestic drama, and the Finnish original C More series include, for example, Aallonmurtaja (season 1), Onnela (season 1), Alasti-klubi, Sunnuntailounas and the espionage thriller Ratamo – Isänmaan ystävät that will start in autumn 2018. For children, C More offers all seasons of the Moomins, and friends of TV series can enjoy series such as Cold Feet (seasons 6–7) and Modus (seasons 1–2). On C More, you can also enjoy your favourite programmes from MTV3, Sub and AVA without commercial breaks.

Research data
More and a wider range of TV content is being viewed. Last spring, DNA carried out a survey regarding the digital way of life. The survey revealed that the majority of Finns (57%) felt that it was important for them to be able to view TV content whenever they felt like it. Approximately half (46%) of the respondents felt that it was important that applications available for mobile devices could also be used on the big TV screen.

DNA:n käyttämä 5G-verkko yltää nyt Etelä-Karjalassa liki joka kolkkaan11.4.2024 09:55:00 EEST | Tiedote

DNA:n käyttämän 5G-verkon rakennustyöt Etelä-Karjalassa ovat saavuttaneet pisteen, jossa 5G-verkon peitto yltää maakunnassa liki kaikkialle ja asukkaiden tavoittavuus lähestyy 100 prosentin tasoa heidän asuinpaikkojensa perusteella. Koko maan tasolla kuuluvuudessa on kuitenkin yhä alueellista vaihtelua, minkä vuoksi verkkoa parannetaan jatkuvasti. Tavoite on erityisesti maantieteellisen peiton vahvistaminen ja kasvattaminen. Laskennallisesti 5G-verkko tavoittaa noin 96 prosenttia suomalaisista koko maassa, yhteensä yli 250 paikkakunnalla. 5G-rakentamisen myötä paranevat myös 4G-yhteydet.

DNA’s 5G network now reaches almost every corner of South Karelia11.4.2024 09:55:00 EEST | Press release

DNA’s 5G network in South Karelia now reaches nearly all parts of the region, and coverage of the population is approaching 100% based on residents’ location. At the national level, however, there are still regional variations in coverage, which is why the network is constantly being improved. In particular, DNA’s goal is to reinforce and increase geographic coverage. The 5G network has a theoretical coverage of around 96% of Finland’s population in more than 250 localities. The construction of 5G infrastructure also improves 4G connections.
