DNA brings top artists to SuomiAreena and television viewers all over Finland

DNA, the main partner of SuomiAreena, will arrange an impressive summer concert in this year’s event. Performers in the concert to be held in Pori on Wednesday, 12 July, will be Finland’s top artists Saara Aalto, Irina and Mikko Kuustonen. The event can also be viewed on TV.

DNA is again the main partner of SuomiAreena, held this year between 10 and 14 July, and will provide the event with extensive data communications connections. As in the previous years, DNA will moreover provide SuomiAreena with its own TV channel, SuomiAreenaTV*. DNA will also install large screens at key locations in the centre of Pori to allow the public to follow the SuomiAreena events.  

Top evening entertainment in Pori and for all TV viewers

DNA’s own public event will be arranged in the Raatihuoneenpuisto park in Pori on Wednesday, 12 July, at 6:30 pm. Performers in the entertaining summer concert will be Finnish top artists Saara Aalto, Irina and Mikko Kuustonen. The event will be hosted by comedian Jaakko Saariluoma and Vilhelmiina Wahlbeck, Vice President of Corporate Communications at DNA.

As part of the cooperation, we want to give the participants in SuomiAreena an opportunity to enjoy a summer evening with entertainment by top artists. It is also excellent that MTV has announced that it will broadcast the summer concert for all television viewers in prime time on Saturday night, right after the event,” says Vilhelmiina Wahlbeck, Vice President of DNA’s Corporate Communications. 

DNA’s event “Saariluoma ja starat Porin illassa” (“Night with Saariluoma and stars in Pori”) will be broadcast live on the SuomiAreenaTV channel on 12 July. It will also be possible to view the event as a recorded broadcast on the MTV channel on Saturday, 15 July, at 8 pm.

In addition to the summer concert on Wednesday, DNA will arrange an interesting public event on Thursday, July 13. The event will be hosted by Kristiina Komulainen and Ivan Puopolo and be entitled “Is it OK to be excited? – Talk show about working life in the digital age”. The topics to be discussed in the event include new skills and creativity in working life, robot labour, and in what kind of work man will be the best option in the future working life.

*You can find SuomiAreenaTV on channel position 265 in DNA’s cable TV network and on channel position 29 in Digita’s terrestrial network. The channel positions will be available on these networks starting from week 23, and the actual broadcasting will start on the 10th of July. Most television sets and set-top boxes will find the channel automatically. If not, run the channel search again. SuomiAreenaTV can be watched in the DNA TV service, where it can be found in the channel list of live broadcasts as from the 3rd of July. The DNA TV service is available for phones, tablets and television sets.
