DNA continues as one of the main partners in SuomiAreena

Share
Once again this summer DNA is one of the main partners in SuomiAreena, a public debate forum held in Pori. DNA provides telecommunications connections for the July event. Viewers at home can follow the event via the nationwide SuomiAreenaTV channel, implemented as a collaborative effort.

DNA’s and Mediahub Helsinki’s main partnership with SuomiAreena continues for another two years. The agreement follows a successful three-year collaboration.

SuomiAreena is Finland’s largest public debate forum, held between 16 and 20 July 2018 and featuring around 200 debates. The event, organised by Mediahub and the City of Pori, takes place now for the 13th time. SuomiAreena’s media partner is MTV, which broadcasts the event live on MTV and Katsomo.

In addition to telecommunications connections, DNA will provide SuomiAreena with its own TV channel, the SuomiAreenaTV*, as in the previous years. The TV channel brings home audiences the highlights of the event. Mediahub will produce programming for the channel from morning to night during the week. DNA will also equip the main stages with large screens, which allow the visitors to follow the event.

- Our cooperation with SuomiAreena has been very smooth, so we are extremely happy to continue working with the event. SuomiAreena has grown into a large summer gathering, and it is wonderful to be able to provide extensive telecommunication connections to such an important public event, says Vilhelmiina Wahlbeck, Vice President of Corporate Communications at DNA.

- We are pleased to be able to continue our collaboration with DNA and to develop SuomiAreena together. Last summer, we co-launched a new SuomiAreena app, which proved a success. Next summer, SuomiAreena visitors can once again access the event programme through the app, says Mari Haavisto, Executive Producer of SuomiAreena and Chief Content Officer of Mediahub.

The SuomiAreena 2018 themes are security, responsibility and tolerance.

DNA:n käyttämä 5G-verkko yltää nyt Etelä-Karjalassa liki joka kolkkaan11.4.2024 09:55:00 EEST | Tiedote

DNA:n käyttämän 5G-verkon rakennustyöt Etelä-Karjalassa ovat saavuttaneet pisteen, jossa 5G-verkon peitto yltää maakunnassa liki kaikkialle ja asukkaiden tavoittavuus lähestyy 100 prosentin tasoa heidän asuinpaikkojensa perusteella. Koko maan tasolla kuuluvuudessa on kuitenkin yhä alueellista vaihtelua, minkä vuoksi verkkoa parannetaan jatkuvasti. Tavoite on erityisesti maantieteellisen peiton vahvistaminen ja kasvattaminen. Laskennallisesti 5G-verkko tavoittaa noin 96 prosenttia suomalaisista koko maassa, yhteensä yli 250 paikkakunnalla. 5G-rakentamisen myötä paranevat myös 4G-yhteydet.

DNA’s 5G network now reaches almost every corner of South Karelia11.4.2024 09:55:00 EEST | Press release

DNA’s 5G network in South Karelia now reaches nearly all parts of the region, and coverage of the population is approaching 100% based on residents’ location. At the national level, however, there are still regional variations in coverage, which is why the network is constantly being improved. In particular, DNA’s goal is to reinforce and increase geographic coverage. The 5G network has a theoretical coverage of around 96% of Finland’s population in more than 250 localities. The construction of 5G infrastructure also improves 4G connections.
