Due to the deteriorating coronavirus situation and in order to prevent queues forming at the main entrance, the Ateneum Art Museum will transfer ticket sales for its Repin exhibition exclusively to Lippu.fi for the remaining days of the exhibition, from 21 to 29 August. Ticket sales will begin on Thursday 19 August 2021 at 9:00. Starting from Thursday 19 August, the opening hours of the exhibition will be extended. Starting from Saturday 21 August, it will no longer be possible to buy a ticket at the main entrance. Changes are possible.

From Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 August, the exhibition will be mainly booked for groups, with very few tickets available at the door

Groups have been able to book visits to the exhibition in accordance with applicable coronavirus restrictions. Due to group bookings, only a small amount of tickets will sold from the door during the times below. Those with pre-booked tickets can visit the exhibition normally.

Tuesday 17 August, from 10:00 to 18:00 (the exhibition open until 21:00)
Thursday 19 August, from 10:00 to 14:30 and from 17:00 to 19:00 (the exhibition open until 23:00)
Friday 20 August, from 10:00 to 17:00 (the exhibition open until 23:00)

Buying a ticket through Lippu.fi

Between 21 and 29 August, all available tickets for the Repin exhibition will be sold through Lippu.fi. The number of tickets is limited. Starting from Saturday 21 August, it will no longer be possible to buy a ticket at the door. Due to the high popularity of the Ilya Repin exhibition, the Ateneum has chosen to partner with Lippu.fi, as they have a large ticket sales capacity even in peak situations.

When purchasing tickets through Lippu.fi, the price of a normal ticket is €19, and the price of a concession ticket is €17 (students, pensioners, unemployed, conscripts, and non-military conscripts). Lippu.fi also accepts various yearly passes (including the Museum Card, press card, Friends of the Ateneum membership card, and teacher identity card) as means of payment. Tickets can also be pre-booked for people under 18 through Lippu.fi. The eligibility for a discounted or free ticket is checked at the entrance.

Depending on the chosen delivery method, a Lippu.fi service fee of two euros and a booking fee of at least one euro are added to all prices, including for tickets purchased through Lippu.fi, as well as tickets acquired with free-entry cards and tickets for under 18-year-olds. In addition to being available on the Lippu.fi online service, tickets can be purchased from the Lippu.fi telephone service at +358 600 900 900 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:00, €2/minute + mobile call charge/local network charge) and at the Stockmann department store.

Arrival at the Ateneum

Access for museum visitors with pre-booked tickets is through the entrance on Ateneuminkuja. The main entrance on Kaivokatu street will be closed from 21 to 29 August 2021.

Each ticket is sold with an arrival time. Arrival times are staggered at 30-minute intervals. Visitors can arrive at any time during the 30-minute period stated on their ticket. If the arrival time on your ticket is the last of the day, you should arrive promptly at the start time, which gives you one hour to explore the exhibition before the museum closes.

We require the use of a face mask or visor. Read more about how to stay safe during your museum visit.

Extended opening hours from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 August 2021

Due to the popularity of the Repin exhibition and the tightened coronavirus restrictions, the Ateneum will extend its opening hours, so that as many people as possible can have a chance to see the exhibition.
