Harri Ojala appointed CEO of Teknikum-Yhtiöt Oy

Juha Martikainen and the company's Board of Directors have agreed that Martikainen will leave his position as CEO immediately. Mauri Palvi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, thanks Juha Martikainen for his contributions to the company's development over almost five years.

The Board of Directors of Teknikum-Yhtiöt Oy appointed Harri Ojala (M.Sc., mechanical engineering, MBA) as the company's new CEO on 29 August 2016.

Harri Ojala has been a member of Teknikum-Yhtiöt Oy's Board of Directors and a shareholder since 2013. He has a long international career in managerial positions in many Finnish companies and listed companies manufacturing consumer and investment goods in Europe and North America. For the time being, he will continue as the CEO of Sirico Electronics Oy in his role as the principal owner.

Mauri Palvi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teknikum-Yhtiöt Oy, says: "Harri Ojala is a very experienced operative manager who has worked in different environments and in several business areas, such as machine construction, electronics and the manufacture and distribution of vehicle parts. He has solid experience in international business and supply chain management from the point of view of both customers and product manufacturers."

Harri Ojala has this to say: "I have been helping to build the strategy of Teknikum-Yhtiöt Oy as a member of its Board of Directors. I am very enthusiastic about starting to work with the Group personnel, customers and all other stakeholders as the new CEO. I consider securing the company's competitiveness with the help of competent personnel my most important task, and thereby also expanding sales in new market areas and customer segments."
