Joe Tucci Joins 83North As Special Advisor
83North, the international venture capital firm with operations in Europe and Israel, today announced the appointment of Joe Tucci as a Special Advisor.

Until September 2016, Tucci was the CEO and Chairman of EMC. He joined EMC in 2000 and led it to become one of the world’s leading and most respected technology companies. In 2016, EMC merged with Dell, a global IT company. The deal was one of the biggest technology mergers in recent history and valued EMC at $67 billion. Tucci stepped down from the organisation following the closure of the deal. Today, he is the Co-CEO and Co-Chairman of GTY Technology Holdings and the Chairman of Bridge Growth Partners.

Octapharma announced today that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has approved an extension of marketing authorisation for its human cell line-derived recombinant factor VIII (rFVIII) product, Nuwiq®. New single dose vial strengths of 2500, 3000 and 4000 International Units (IU) will be available in Europe, in addition to the current strengths of 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 IU. The new Nuwiq® vial strengths have been available in the US since September last year, following approval by the FDA. Nuwiq® is indicated in adults and children of all ages for on-demand treatment and prophylaxis, including during surgery, to prevent and control bleeding episodes in patients with haemophilia A.
