Ministry for Foreign Affairs has concluded cooperation negotiations at Service Centre for Entry Permits in Kouvola

Share

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has concluded the cooperation negotiations it initiated at the Service Centre for Entry Permits in Kouvola in October 2022. As a result, 17 public-service employment relationships will be terminated on a voluntary basis.

The negotiations concerned the officials who process visa applications at the centre. The grounds for the negotiations were production-related.

The number of visa applications received by Finland has been decreasing for a longer period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has continued to decline significantly since the Government adopted its resolution restricting tourism from Russia to Finland on 29 September 2022.
