VR’s CFO Markku Pirskanen moves to new challenges outside the company
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Markku Pirskanen has decided to move to new challenges outside the company and will leave VR in October 2025.
Markku Pirskanen has been employed by VR since the beginning of 2024, responsible for the company's finance, treasury, IT and real estate.
"I would like to thank Markku Pirskanen for his contribution to the implementation of the company's profit improvement program and the development of financial processes. He has played an active role in supporting the businesses and the company's renewal journey. Markku Pirskanen's expertise has contributed to the success of our company and I wish him the best of luck in his future challenges", CEO Elisa Markula expresses her appreciation.
The recruitment of the CFO's successor will begin immediately.
