DNA has concluded agreements with Empower and Voimatel on the construction and maintenance works of DNA’s network infrastructure. The tenders invited by DNA for this new contractual period were based on a new partnership model according to which Empower and Voimatel, as regional main contractors, now have overall responsibility over the works in their respective geographic regions.

The Helsinki Metropolitan Region and the rest of Southern Finland are assigned to Empower, while Voimatel has responsibility for operations in Eastern, Western, Central and Northern Finland. Within these regions, the partners are the main contractors responsible for DNA’s networks.

The new agreements cover the construction and maintenance works, including the support functions, performed on DNA's radio, transmission and television networks. The partnership model based on regional accountability is expected to produce many benefits.

“If, for instance, a failed television cable is discovered in connection with 3G extension works, the cable will be repaired under the same work order,” says DNA Production Director Antti Jokinen. The model also enables proactive maintenance works. As the works on all DNA’s networks in a given area are performed by the same technicians, they will identify repair needs before a malfunction or failure occurs."

“We have many reasons to be thankful to DNA for this agreement," says Vice President Ari-Jussi Knaapila at Empower Oy. "The partnership now finalized allows us to develop our services further and to improve resource allocation among different performances, accounts and customer industries."

“For us at Voimatel,” says CEO Sami Huusko, the expanding collaboration between DNA and Voimatel is a strong sign of confidence and trust in our service quality and reliability of performance. We will make every effort to redeem our service promise in terms of reliability, quality and flexibility of operations.  We believe that the collaboration will provide DNA's customers with an increasingly solid service offering.”

The capacity provided by the partnership with Empower and Voimatel is supplemented by installation and maintenance professionals from DNA’s own personnel. The tasks performed by DNA personnel are different from those assigned to the partners: The expertise and equipment of Voimatel and Empower will enable the laying of underground cables and the installation of base stations and masts, for example. All technicians employed by DNA now and in the future will be tasked with works associated with the DNA Welho services, focusing on the maintenance and service operations performed within private homes and properties, or otherwise requiring personal contact with customers.

At least 18,000 children in Finland experience sexual harassment on social media every week, according to recent research findings. DNA and Protect Children (Suojellaan Lapsia ry) are bringing visibility to the issue with an installation at Helsinki's Kansalaistori Square starting on 10 September. The installation powerfully illustrates the scale of online harassment targeted at children. At the same time, the initiative aims to make taking screenshots a widely recognized digital safety skill for both children and adults, helping children seek support when they encounter harassment online.

DNA:n elokuun 2026 myydyimmät puhelimet ja älykellot1.9.2026 08:00:00 EEST | Tiedote

DNA:n elokuun kuluttajamyynnissä korostuivat Applen uusimmat iPhone 17 -sarjan puhelimet sekä koululaisten tarpeisiin hankitut edullisemmat Android-laitteet. Poikkeuksellisesti myydyimpien puhelinten listalla nähtiin laitteita vain kolmelta valmistajalta. Yritysasiakkaiden hankinnoissa suosituimpia olivat edelleen premium-luokan älypuhelimet ja kustannustehokkaat 5G-laitteet. Älykellojen puolella lasten kellopuhelimet jatkoivat vahvaa kasvuaan, ja ZTE K2 säilytti asemansa myydyimpänä laitteena jo viidettä kuukautta peräkkäin.
