All DNA business operations under a single brand

DNA's brand and visual image will be renewed to support expanded business. The DNA Store, DNA Welho and DNA Business brands will be fused into a single DNA brand.

DNA is best known to Finns especially as a consumer mobile communications operator. However, during recent years, DNA has expanded its operations to coverage wide range of telecommunication services. DNA is Finland's largest cable television operator and also has a nationwide terrestrial TV network focusing on HD quality. DNA has also become a major provider of corporate services, and following the TDC deal last spring, the corporate business was given a further boost.

DNA updated its strategy recently to respond even better to changes in the operating environment and customer needs. The key objective in the new strategy is customer satisfaction. DNA has already been working on improving customer experience and achieved good results in EPSI surveys on customer satisfaction*. In surveys conducted in the autumn of 2014, DNA had the most satisfied customers in all corporate service categories and in terms of private customers' broadband services. DNA's pay-TV customers have been the most satisfied for many years.

"We want to be even stronger in the future especially in entertainment services and providers of corporate telecommunication services. We want to make our customers' lives more inspiring, productive and entertaining by offering a wide range of services and content to both private and corporate customers through our networks. We have all it takes to do this, considering our strong position in terms of both fast broadband connections and television services," says DNA's CEO Jukka Leinonen.

DNA to begin to sell a new type of TV subscription

The brand launch will see DNA begin to sell a new type of TV subscription, because the way people watch television has changed significantly in recent years.

The new “DNA TV” service will provide customers with an easy and flexible way to watch television on various devices - tablets, smart phones and TV sets. Customers also have the option to tailor their DNA TV subscription to include a network PVR, an extensive video-on-demand service and a subscription VOD service.

"We think buying entertainment services should be much easier and more flexible than it is now. This is why we want to shake the current market by offering a new kind of service with which everyone can pick just the television services they want instead of having to choose ready-made packages. Our customers can choose the devices and services they want to use for watching television," says Pekka Väisänen, Senior Vice President, Consumer Business at DNA.

DNA has currently a total of almost a million television customers, when cable, terrestrial and mobile TV customers are put together.

DNA tarjoaa asiakkailleen Googlen Firebasen puhelinnumeron vahvistuspalvelua ensimmäisenä operaattorina Pohjoismaissa. Firebase Phone Number Verification (PNV) eli puhelinnumeron vahvistuspalvelu varmentaa puhelinliittymän käyttäjän puhelinnumeron suoraan operaattorilta. Palvelu toimii aluksi vain Android-älypuhelimissa, ja se on käytettävissä keväästä 2026 alkaen.

Samsungin keskihintainen Galaxy A56 5G nousi DNA:n kuluttaja-asiakkaiden maaliskuun myydyimmäksi puhelimeksi selkeällä erolla seuraaviin malleihin. Apple jatkoi puolestaan yritysasiakkaiden suosituimpana valmistajana, ja iPhone 16 5G sijoittui listan ykköspaikalle. Käytettyjen puhelinten myynnissä Applen mallit pitivät niin ikään asemansa, mutta Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G nousi kuukauden yllättäjäksi. Maaliskuun ostetuin älykello oli Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS). Tietokoneissa ensimmäisen kvartaalin myydyin malli oli Acer Aspire Lite 14.
