The Ministry for Foreign Affairs presents Madventures and travel safety in Tampere

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs promotes travel safety and has its own stand in the Comprehensive Security 2015 Trade Fair in the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 4–6 September. Passports are also on display and information is provided about the Ministry's different services for travellers. The Ministry will put on display not only matters related to travel safety but also information about its other activities promoting comprehensive security.

Director Teemu Turunen from the Unit for Consular Assistance will be at the Ministry's stand A100 on Friday 4 September. Finland's first ever Ambassador for Cyber Security Marja Rislakki will visit the Ministry's stand on Friday, too. Both Teemu Turunen and Marja Rislakki will be interviewed by the Security Committee on Friday.

On Saturday 5 September, the Madventures backpackers Riku and Tunna will hold a security drill on the main stage and meet with travellers at the Foreign Ministry's stand.

In the "Security Track" game, the Foreign Ministry has a flag of its own under control point 2.

The National Institute for Health and Welfare will present its Infectious Diseases Department at the Foreign Ministry's stand on Friday and Saturday. Senior Researcher Jussi Sane will be present at the stand and tell about the fight against global health hazards, and public health nurse Eeva Pekkanen will be available for inquiries concerning travellers' health matters. In addition, visitors to the stand can get information about studies related to food- and water-borne epidemics and infectious diseases and their prevention. Visitors can also take an online test called "What bug you are" to find out if they resemble the most a lively influenza virus or a more conservative salmonella.

In connection with the Comprehensive Security 2015 Trade Fair on Thursday 3 September, the Foreign Ministry will organise a seminar for invited guests, entitled "Diplomacy as a guarantor of Finland's security". The theme of discussion will be the changed European security.  The topics of the seminar will include, among other things, Russia's actions, international security cooperation, and information warfare.
