Minna Miettinen appointed DNA Vice President, Products & Content

Minna Miettinen, 42, has been appointed DNA Vice President, Products & Content and member of Executive Team. She will resume her new responsibilities at DNA on 16 January 2012.

The Products & Content unit is responsible for the management and development of DNA's consumer and corporate customers' product and service portfolio. Minna Miettinen will report to DNA Chief Operating Officer Petteri Niemi.

Minna Miettinen moves to DNA from Trainers' House, where she worked as a training consultant. Prior to her role at Trainers' House, Miettinen worked over 10 years at Satama Interactive, gaining extensive experience in different roles ranging from the development and project management of electronic services to account management and executive team responsibilities. Her specialities include user-oriented design and implementation of services that enable service and product development to focus on the user's needs. Miettinen holds a diploma in marketing studies.

With her solid expertise in customer-oriented product and service development, Minna is well suited to lead the further development of our product portfolio and we are delighted to have her with us, says DNA Chief Operating Officer Petteri Niemi .

The current DNA Vice President, Products & Content, Timo Varsila has resigned. He will continue in his role until 13 January.

DNA:n Koululaistutkimukseen tänä vuonna osallistuneista 5–12-vuotiaiden lasten vanhemmista 36 prosenttia kertoi hankkineensa kellopuhelimen lapsensa ensipuhelimeksi. Viime vuonna näin vastasi 16 prosenttia. Lisäksi entistä useammalla 5–9-vuotiaalla lapsella ei ole minkäänlaista puhelinta henkilökohtaisessa käytössään. Asiantuntijan mukaan näin nopeita muutoksia nähdään harvoin.

According to DNA’s School Survey, 36% of parents of children aged 5–12 reported that they had chosen a smartwatch phone as their child’s first phone this year. Last year, the figure was 16%. Additionally, an increasing number of children aged 5–9 do not have any personal phone at all. According to an expert, changes this rapid are rarely seen.
