More than 30 Products from France Recognized as CES Innovation Honorees

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced that 31 French companies were selected as CES® 2018 Innovation Honorees for outstanding innovation, receiving 42 awards in total. Two companies, Blue Frog Robotics and Lancey Energy Storage, were awarded the Best of Innovation classification. The announcement was made during the fifth annual CES Unveiled Paris, where innovative exhibitors, top tier media and other industry professionals gathered to see a preview of CES 2018. Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2018 will run January 9-12, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV.

“France’s most innovative companies continue to produce technologies that are changing and improving the industry, our lives and the world around us,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, CES and corporate business strategy, CTA. “These honorees exemplify ingenuity in solving problems and offering solutions through tech.”

The CES Innovation Awards program is an annual competition celebrating outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across 28 product categories. The competition recognizes two levels of honorees, Honoree and Best of Innovation, the latter of which are the highest-rated products within each category. Products must be new to market to qualify and are judged in comparison to marketplace competition based on engineering, design, functionality and consumer appeal. Those selected as Honorees are displayed at CES 2018, January 9-12.

At CES 2017, France brought 249 exhibitors to Las Vegas. After the United States, France had the most startups represented at CES 2017 with 204 exhibitors in Eureka Park.
