Vertiv will provide total support from consultancy and execution to 24/7 monitoring and maintenance services, requiring no capital expenditure (CAPEX) from the customer with Vertiv fully financing the project as part of the ESaaS contract.

“Telefónica is among the biggest telecom providers in the world and a Fortune 500 company, as well as one of the most active operators on sustainability initiatives, which makes us extremely proud of this collaboration,” said Giordano Albertazzi, president for Vertiv in Europe, Middle East and Africa. “This agreement is an important milestone that reinforces our long-standing partnership and emphasizes our dedication to providing industry-leading, energy efficient and high-performance solutions for the telecom industry. “Vertiv and Telefónica share the mutual goal of becoming more efficient and competitive through sustainable innovation,” said Juan Manuel Caro, director of operations, Telefónica. “Our company is committed to our objective on energy and climate change of reducing 50 percent of our energy consumption per traffic unit while enhancing our infrastructure and telecommunications services. Vertiv has been fundamental in our achievements, and we trust that through this partnership we can make much greater strides forward.”
