Health services are available face to face and online – visit a clinic only if you have an appointment

The health centres in Espoo serve Espoo residents by appointment until further notice. Call us. We will assess your symptoms and need for treatment on the phone. If you need an appointment at the clinic, we will book one for you.

The health centres are safe to visit. All patients with respiratory tract infections are treated at Samaria Health Centre, and other patients at other health centres. Espoonlahti Health Centre is closed because of water damage.

You get help to many issues online or on the telephone. Book an appointment online to a video appointment with an on-call nurse or first admission to contraception counselling. Telephone service may provide you with a video appointment with a doctor.

If you suspect you have contracted the coronavirus, call Espoo’s coronavirus helpline, tel. 09 816 34600 (Mon–Fri 7:00–18:00). Outside these hours, please call the Medical Helpline, tel. 116 117.  Coronavirus testing has been increased. At the moment, everyone with symptoms of the coronavirus will get tested in line with the guidelines of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS). We will give you testing instructions on the phone. You can also assess your symptoms at www.omaolo.fi (in Finnish, Swedish and English). You will then get instructions based on your symptoms.

Dental care is only available in urgent cases. You may book your emergency appointment tel. 09 816 35900 (telephone hours: 7:00–16:00). In other matters, please contact customer service, tel. 09 816 30300 (telephone hours: 7:45–16:00). At the moment, we are also offering the following video appointments: periodic oral health care appointments at 1 and 3 years of age, oral health counselling appointments for families expecting their first child and orthodontics consultations.

Maternity and child health clinics receive pregnant women and children younger than 12 months as usual. Children aged 1 to 6 can get the vaccines listed in the Finnish national vaccination programme and other services they need by appointment. The chat service that is available on the Finnish version of the clinics’ website is open from 10:00 to 13:00.

School and Student Health Services is there to help you with matters such as mental health, sexual health and birth control. You can book a face-to-face appointment with a public health nurse or doctor. Remote appointments are also available. In all matters related to school and student health services, you can call us, tel. 09 816 61234, Mon–Fri 8:30–15:30. You can also use a chat service to talk to a public health nurse from Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 15:30.
