The first mile is often the critical link in the supply chain, when raw materials and purchased finished products are shipped from global suppliers to manufacturing and distribution locations. “Last-mile delivery generates a lot of attention and a lot of headlines, and often overshadows the importance of the first mile,” FourKites founder and CEO Mathew Elenjickal says. “If you don’t have sufficient control over your upstream supply chain, everything that comes after the first mile will be less effective.”
Inefficiencies and disruptions in the first mile have significant ramifications on working capital, costs and revenue. Traditionally, companies have attempted to manage the first mile through manual processes, including spreadsheets and phone calls. This cumbersome, disjointed approach results in unpredictability and higher costs. Consequently, shippers lack the visibility to know if they will have sufficient inventory on hand to meet production and/or distribution schedules, and they are unable to collaborate efficiently with their suppliers to ensure material availability and delivery dates.
Gravity’s modern, easy-to-use SaaS solution addresses these issues, offering visibility into and control over the purchase order process — from order creation through changes and fulfillment. This solution will integrate with FourKites’ real-time shipment visibility and order intelligence solutions to ensure that customers have an exception-based, single source of truth for the entire order life cycle. The highly configurable solution, which can be up and running quickly, will provide seamless integration, simpler collaboration and streamlined operations with real-time updates — all in one centralised platform.
“Of any visibility provider on the market, we chose to partner with FourKites because of its deep, trusted relationships with many large Fortune 1000 customers,” said Graham Parker, CEO and founder of Gravity Supply Chain Solutions. “Our partnership will give these brands a seamless, end-to-end picture of their supply chain, so they can react quickly and confidently to any situation. We have been impressed by FourKites’ innovative solutions, its collaborative culture and its impressive track record of delivering value to customers, and we’re thrilled to work together to fortify our efforts and provide a unique offering to the market.”
Founded in 2015, Gravity is headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. The company has rapidly gained traction in the 3PL and freight forwarder space, and counts among its customers the French conglomerate Bolloré SE, Rӧhlig Logistics, Scan Global Logistics and Gebrüder Weiss.
“As FourKites continues to expand into order and inventory management with solutions such as our Order Intelligence Suite, this partnership with Gravity will extend our capabilities even further upstream,” Elenjickal says. “As a result, our customers can be confident that their suppliers will provide the necessary components and parts they expect by the promised date, eliminating the delays, confusion and costs that many people now incorrectly attribute to issues with the last mile.”

Invivoscribe ® Advances Molecular Clonality Testing Portfolio with Comprehensive LymphoTrack ® Flex Suite6.10.2026 13:15:00 EEST | Press release
Invivoscribe, a global leader in precision diagnostics and measurable residual disease (MRD) testing, today announced the launch of the complete LymphoTrack Flex suite, an integrated next-generation sequencing (NGS) solution to identify and track immunoglobulin and T-cell receptor gene rearrangements. As NGS-based immune receptor MRD analysis moves from academic laboratories into routine use in oncology research centers, the demand for standardized, high-throughput workflows is accelerating. Laboratories are seeking both greater efficiency and ultra-high sensitivity. This requires increasing DNA inputs while ensuring higher testing throughput and analytical performance. Translational programs need testing that is both reproducible and scalable across sites. LymphoTrack Flex meets these demands, bringing seven molecular targets (IGHV leader, IGH FR1, IGH FR2, IGH FR3, IGK, TRB and TRG), together in one automation-ready workflow with massively parallel multiplexing and a powerful bioinfo
Degreed Agents Enable Every Leader to Upskill Their Organization with Ease6.10.2026 13:00:00 EEST | Press release
Degreed was born with the mission to help everyone get credit for all of their learning and skills. Today, the company announces the latest phase of that journey with the release of Degreed agents, a connected system of AI agents that lets leaders and L&D teams automate personalized learning and skill building. Leaders set the direction, agents do the work, and together they form the foundation of a hybrid operating system for their workforce. Businesses today run workforce transformations as a relay. The CEO sets a mandate to get everyone AI-fluent. A talent leader then defines the end state while managers try to spot gaps on their own teams. L&D pulls reports by hand and builds what they can. Each handoff adds a delay. Now, agents can orchestrate all of that in real time. Degreed agents notice details that matter, like a promotion, a skill gap, or an engagement dip, and act on them without requiring a manager to notice, an admin to flag it, or L&D to build it. At launch, agents build

Axis delivers on these priorities by combining our minimal-prep, One-Touch scanning technology with a single-bin design. With a lower market accessible entry point, Axis helps customers process documents more efficiently while achieving m

Convatec Survey Challenges Assumptions About Leakage in Ostomy Care6.10.2026 10:00:00 EEST | Press release
Convatec, a leading medical products and technologies company focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions, today released Rethinking leakage in ostomy care, new international research highlighting a significant gap in how peristomal skin health is understood and managed in ostomy care. The findings indicate that skin health plays a critical role in preventing leakage, and supporting confidence in daily life, yet remains widely under-recognised in routine care. For many people, leakage is not only a clinical or product issue; it can shape whether they feel able to travel, exercise, socialise or take part fully in everyday life. More than half of respondents said they avoid such activities due to worry about their ostomy. The results of the survey, which included more than 1,800 people living with an ostomy and over 400 healthcare professionals, point to a significant opportunity to improve outcomes through greater focus on peristomal skin health, the specific area of s
