Kempower to showcase its leading DC fast charging solutions for the first time in the U.S. at EVS36

- Kempower will exhibit at EVS36 in California, U.S., between June 11th - 14th 2023.
- EVS36 is the first North American event Kempower will attend following the announcement of its U.S. expansion plans, which include establishing a new EV charging station production facility in North Carolina.
- EVS36 is an industry event for global EV leaders to showcase technology and exchange ideas about the future of electric transportation.
EVS36 is a global exposition and symposium for the electric transportation industry dedicated to showcasing the most cutting-edge technology in the e-mobility space. The event, which is the longest-running international conference dedicated to electric transportation and technologies, is expected to attract more than 2,200 participants and 400 exhibitors worldwide.
At the exhibition, Kempower will be showcasing its modular and scalable Kempower Satellite charging system. It consists of a centralized Kempower Power Unit which offers up to 600kW DC power, which can be dynamically distributed between as many as eight charging outputs via charging satellites with 25 kW granularity. It is designed to be easily installed in most locations, even charging sites with limited space. In addition, Kempower Satellite charging points have user-friendlycable management and intuitive touch screens.
The visitors at EVS36 can also learn more about Kempower ChargEye, a cloud-based charging management system. It allows charging network operators to remotely monitor, manage, and diagnose the day-to-day operations of both the chargers and EVs. For fleet owners, it offers, among other things, the possibility to optimize energy use and schedule charging sessions so that vehicles are always charged and ready to go when needed.
Prioritizing EV charging reliability
The expo is the first North American industry event Kempower will attend following the announcement of its plans to expand into the U.S. by opening a new charging station production facility in Durham, North Carolina.
Kempower’s new facility will produce NEVI-compliant, reliable, and user-friendly DC fast charging solutions for electric cars, trucks, buses, boats, and machines. The company will start production at the new factory by the end of 2023 and has a planned project investment of approximately USD 40 million during the next five years. With the new facility of over 154,000 square feet, Kempower will create approximately 300 new jobs in Durham. Staff recruitment is underway.
The establishment of the new production facility is part of the company’s strategy to become a top 5 player in Europe and North America by 2030.
Commenting on its upcoming participation at EVS36, Tomi Ristimäki, CEO of Kempower, said:
“Kempower is committed to make EV charging reliability a top priority. Long-distance driving is common in the U.S., which makes the reliability of EV chargers essential. With a proven system in place to ensure the reliability of our chargers, we can enter the North American market with confidence that our chargers are fit to serve the continent's EV drivers.”
