Katarina Reuter: Black Crow Blues 4 October 2023–28 January 2024

The Fine Arts Academy of Finland Prize Exhibition of 2023 features artist Katarina Reuter’s (b. 1964) paintings created with subtle and precise brush strokes. The paintings depicting nature, the surrounding environment and miniature creatures, contain both tranquility and something of the unknown. They also include reflections on biodiversity and our relationship with nature. The display of paintings created for EMMA’s large exhibition space offers the audience an opportunity to stop and settle to explore the detailed and ambiguous worlds created by the artist.

Katarina Reuter’s exhibition is the fifth Fine Arts Academy of Finland Prize Exhibition arranged at EMMA. The exhibition has been produced in collaboration with the Fine Arts Academy of Finland and the City of Espoo.
