DNA provides Finnair with global communication solutions and next-generation network solutions
Finnair and DNA have signed an agreement on global communication and next-generation network solutions. The agreement covers Finnair’s international software-driven (SDx) network solution and a comprehensive mobile solution. The mobile solution includes the delivery of customer text messages and roaming services.

Key factors in the agreement were the expertise and proven track record of DNA and its parent company Telenor as a leading provider of software-driven networks, and the ability to provide mobile services that meet the requirements of Finnair as a globally operating organization. Solutions supporting the modern capabilities of Finnair’s critical data communication are at the heart of its business, to ensure and enhance security, visibility, and controllability of the data.
Software-based data communication as an enabler of usability and security
The business requirements for digital services have grown rapidly. Thanks to software-based data communication solutions, organizations can already be served with more transparent, scalable, and secure data communication entities.
”Companies want a single partner with overall responsibility and a single contract, through which modern, secure data communication solutions are managed globally. At DNA, we have developed our solutions to meet the business needs of customers domestically, in the Nordic countries, and globally. We are pleased to be able to offer the best expertise for Finnair’s use. We listen carefully to the business needs of the customer and build a whole that serves them well in future needs as well,” says Anna-Mari Ylihurula, Senior Vice President, Corporate Business at DNA
“Finnair operates in a global environment, and digital, continuously available solutions are critical for our own staff, customers and business. It was important for us to get a partner who can take overall responsibility and who will develop the services with us also in the future. Finnair wanted a next generation network and data communication solution that makes it possible to take our business’ digitalization to the next level. DNA listened carefully to our needs and convinced us with their extensive customer references, group-level roaming capabilities, and a solution suitable for our requirements,” says Antti Kleemola, CIO at Finnair.
The capabilities of DNA and its parent company Telenor’s data communication and mobile services are top-notch in terms of breadth and certainty on an international scale. In terms of data communication, DNA has international top players as partners. With this expertise, solutions can be produced flexibly even for the most critical needs, and based on the principle of a single responsible partner.
