Kela urges its partner organisations and employer customers to check the validity of the Suomi.fi mandates they need for Kela-related matters and to renew mandates they need if they are about to expire.

A large number of Suomi.fi mandates used by Kela’s partner organisations and employer customers in handling Kela-related matters are about to expire at the end of 2024. The reason for such a large number of mandates expiring at the same time is the transition from one system to another in 2020, when the Katso service was replaced by Suomi.fi identification and Suomi.fi mandates. The period of validity for the Suomi.fi mandates granted at that time was five years. These mandates are now about to expire and they will stop working at the end of 2024 unless the organisations using the mandates renew them.

Kela urges its partner organisations and employer customers to check the validity of the mandates they use and, if necessary, to renew them. Existing mandates and their period of validity can be checked in the service Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.

Check the period of validity of your organisation’s mandates in the service Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.
