President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will visit various events before Christmas.
On Thursday 12 December 2024, the President will attend a Christmas celebration at the Kauniala Hospital in Kauniainen. President Stubb will address the veterans of our wars and members of the Lotta Svärd organisation. The Kauniala Hospital was established in 1946 as a hospital for war-wounded.
On Wednesday 18 December, President Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb will receive the traditional Christmas greetings at the official residence in Munkkiniemi. The President and his spouse will receive representatives of Folkhälsan and Lucia of Finland with choir forestry students from the University of Helsinki and the Forestry Students’ Christmas Tree Company, Marttila Farm, Finnish Florists’ Association, Korpo Kulturgille, Vehmaa branch of the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners, Finnish Hunters’ Association, Karelian Association and the animal and nature protection organisations Helsinki Humane Society HESY, The Finnish Nature Association and the Finnish Vegan Association.
In the afternoon of Wednesday 18 December, the President and his spouse will visit the Wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava, where they will attend a Christmas event for the residents of a nursing home in Vantaa.
On Thursday 19 December, the Presidential and Mrs Innes-Stubb will visit the New Children’s Hospital at HUS Helsinki University Hospital. They will be given a tour of the hospital and meet patients and their families. The programme includes Christmas activities such as decorating the Christmas tree.

Republikens presidents kansli Pressmeddelande 15/2026 24.3.2026 Moldaviens president Maia Sandu avlägger ett arbetsbesök i Finland tisdagen den 31 mars 2026. Värd för besöket är republikens president Alexander Stubb. President Stubb och president Sandu träffas på Presidentens slott för att diskutera de bilaterala relationerna mellan Finland och Moldavien, Rysslands olagliga anfallskrig mot Ukraina, det allmänna säkerhetsläget i Europa, Moldaviens EU-anslutningsprocess samt de transatlantiska relationerna och globala utmaningarna. I diskussionerna deltar också utrikesminister Elina Valtonen och Moldaviens minister med ansvar för europeisk integration Cristina Gherasimov. Under sitt besök kommer president Sandu också att träffa Europa- och ägarstyrningsminister Joakim Strand och delta i en diskussion om Moldaviens EU-anslutningsprocess arrangerad av Finlands utrikespolitiska institut i riksdagen.

Tasavallan presidentin kanslia Tiedote 15/2026 24.3.2026 Moldovan tasavallan presidentti Maia Sandu tekee työvierailun Suomeen tiistaina 31. maaliskuuta 2026. Vierailua isännöi tasavallan presidentti Alexander Stubb. Presidentti Stubb ja presidentti Sandu tapaavat Presidentinlinnassa, jossa he keskustelevat Suomen ja Moldovan kahdenvälisten suhteiden lisäksi Venäjän laittomasta hyökkäyssodasta Ukrainassa, Euroopan yleisestä turvallisuustilanteesta, Moldovan EU-liittymisprosessista sekä transatlanttisista suhteista ja globaaleista haasteista. Keskusteluihin osallistuvat myös ulkoministeri Elina Valtonen ja Moldovan EU-integraatiosta vastaava varapääministeri Cristina Gherasimov. Presidentti Sandu tapaa vierailunsa aikana myös Eurooppa- ja omistajaohjausministeri Joakim Strandin sekä osallistuu Ulkopoliittisen instituutin järjestämään keskustelutilaisuuteen Moldovan EU-liittymisprosessista eduskunnassa.
