Share

Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire Sipti companies. With the acquisition, Sweco will significantly increase geotechnical engineering and consulting services in its offering, and also strengthen its environmental consulting services.

The Sipti companies consist of four design and consulting companies, Sipti Oy, Sipti Infra Oy, Kymen Sipti Oy and Sipti Environment Oy, and employ 50 experts in Finland. Companies form a high-quality expert organisation specialising in design and consulting services in geotechnical, rock and environmental engineering. The net sales of the Sipti companies in the financial year ending in July 2024 were EUR 6.7 million.

"The expertise and services of the Sipti companies complement Sweco's offering, especially in geotechnical design and consulting. In addition, Sipti's growing environmental consulting business strengthens Sweco's already diverse environmental and sustainability consulting services. We have worked closely with Sipti in several projects and are impressed by their high-quality expertise," says Juho Siipo, Director of Sweco's Infrastructure and Transport division.

"Due to urbanisation, construction on more demanding land areas will increase, and this will create more requirements for geotechnical planning in the future. The increase in rock construction related to, for example, energy storage and heat pump projects, as well as major investments in the energy and industrial sectors, such as wind and solar power and data centres, also create needs for geotechnical expertise. Together with Sipti, we can offer our customers very versatile and high-quality geotechnical and environmental engineering expertise for various needs, also for the most demanding projects," says Juho Siipo.

Raportti: Käytännön esimerkit osoittavat, miten biodiversiteetti huomioidaan rakennetussa ympäristössä26.11.2025 09:00:00 EET | Tiedote
