One Year to Go: Sähkö-Electricity 26 – Exhibition Sales Progressing Rapidly
The three-day professional event for the electrical industry will take over the main halls of the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 15 to 17 April 2026. All key players in the sector – from manufacturers and importers to national wholesalers – have already confirmed their participation in this inaugural event.

Despite the challenges facing the construction sector, the electrical industry continues to perform well, with rapid technological development responding to the demands of the time. Electricity touches every aspect of life, and the green transition is creating further pressure for innovation and sustainable solutions.
“There is a clear need for an international professional event of this kind, and we are proud to host it in Helsinki, where the infrastructure, accessibility and cost-efficiency are excellent,” says Jussi Kivikari, Business Manager for the event.
“I’ve been involved in various roles at electrical industry events since the early 1990s, both in Finland and abroad. The best experiences have always emerged from an open and inspiring atmosphere where technology and people genuinely connect. Our aim is to establish a much-needed meeting place that will stand among the leading Nordic events from the very first edition,” says Kari Lilja, Secretary General of the event.
The active involvement of companies and industry associations in the development process – and their willingness to share insight – has been instrumental in shaping the event. Key organisational partners include the Finnish Association of Electrical Contractors (STUL), the Association of Electrical Designers (NSS), the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), and the Electrotechnical Trade Association (STK).
In collaboration with these industry bodies, the programme will feature a range of side events and seminars offering timely and in-depth content for professionals. One example is the well-regarded Wellbeing Through Electricity vision seminar, which will next be held in connection with the Sähkö-Electricity event.
