Lotta Kopra and Annika Esono Manninen elected to the Board of St1 Nordic

The Annual General Meeting of St1 Nordic Oy elected Lotta Kopra, MSc (Econ.), and Annika Esono Manninen, MSc in International Management, as new members of the Board on April 22, 2025. Lotta Kopra has most recently worked as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company. Annika Esono Manninen works as the Head of ESG at OP Asset Management.

At the same time, the Annual General Meeting decided to increase the number of Board members to five. The Board of St1 Nordic Oy will continue to include Kati Ihamäki, Vice President, Sustainability at Fiskars, Kim Wiio, CEO of Mininvest Oy, and Mika Anttonen, the principal owner and Chairman of the Board of St1 Nordic Oy.

As the global fusion race accelerates, Novatron Fusion Group (NFG) – the only private fusion energy company in the Nordics – is preparing to build a pilot fusion reactor in the Nordic region during the 2030s. A new study conducted by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland shows that Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden all meet the technical requirements to host the facility, but that Finland is the most prepared in terms of regulatory readiness.

St1 on pääsijoittajana investoinut yritykseen 13 miljoonaa euroa. NFG:n ensimmäinen fuusioratkaisun prototyyppi NOVATRON 1 valmistui joulukuussa 2024 ja se sijaitsee Tukholmassa. Nordic Fusion Forumin avaa ympäristö- ja ilmastoministeri Sari Multala videon välityksellä. Yksi tapahtuman keskeisistä kohokohdista on VTT:n uuden raportin esittely. Raportissa selvitetään fuusioenergian pilottilaitoksen rakentamisen mahdollisuuksia ja strategista potentiaalia Suomessa ja muissa Pohjoismaissa - sekä tunnistetaan optimaaliset sijaintivaihtoehdot useiden eri kriteerien perusteella. St1 Suomi Oy fuusioi tytäryhtiönsä Lämpöpuisto Oy:n osaksi emoyhtiötä. Fuusion on määrä toteutua 31.12.2025 mennessä. Fuusiosuunnitelma on rekisteröity Patentti- ja rekisterihallituksessa (PRH) 28.8.2025. Lämpöpuisto on ollut St1:n kokonaan omistama tytäryhtiö vuodesta 2016 alkaen. Järjestely tukee St1:n strategiaa selkeyttää konsernirakennettaan, vahvistaa palvelukykyä ja kehittää yhteistyötä pitkäjänteisesti eri sidosryhmien kanssa.

St1 Suomi Oy will merge its subsidiary, Lämpöpuisto Oy. The merger is expected to be completed by 31 December 2025. The merger plan was registered with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) on 28 August 2025. Lämpöpuisto has been a wholly owned subsidiary of St1 since 2016. The arrangement supports St1’s strategy to streamline its group structure, strengthen its service capabilities, and enhance long-term collaboration with various stakeholders.
