The Archipelago Sea Boating Season Kicks Off at the Naantali Boat Show
The summer boating season in Finland’s most significant boating region, the Archipelago Sea, will begin in the harbor of Naantali’s old town during the second-to-last weekend of May. The Naantali Boat Show, held from May 23 to 25, will feature over one hundred different boats.

"At the Naantali Boat Show, visitors can also test drive boats and jet skis. The season-opening event culminates with the Boat Show Party at Naantali's historic Kaivohuone venue," says Fair Manager Jani Ollikainen.
The Naantali Boat Show is organized in cooperation with the City of Naantali and several local stakeholders. The event’s main partner is Naantali Spa, and its patron is Member of Parliament Pauli Aalto-Setälä.
The show opens to the public on Friday at 1:00 p.m., and the official opening ceremony takes place at 4:00 p.m. on the same day. During the ceremony, the winner of the 2025 Archipelago Sea Award will also be announced. Last year, the award was granted to the Archipelago National Park and its managing body, Metsähallitus (Parks & Wildlife Finland).
The program includes fashion shows by the Fashion Team and the Model Face competition, as well as equipment demonstrations by the Finnish Lifeboat Institution. On Saturday, the Finnish Border Guard’s Super Puma rescue helicopter will perform a live demonstration.
The Naantali Boat Show is open to the public on Friday, May 23, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The full program is available at www.naantalinvenemessut.fi.
Over 100 Boats on Display – From Jet Skis to Large Cruisers
Most exhibitors are boat manufacturers, importers, and dealers, but the show also features suppliers of boating accessories, marine services, and products related to the sea, boating, leisure, and tourism.
Of the over one hundred boats on display, most are new, but a separate dock area is reserved for pre-owned boats.
The show includes a particularly wide range of summer cottage and commuter boats popular in the archipelago, with models from AMT, Buster, Falcon, Faster, Rönnqvist, Suvi, Silver, and Yamarin Cross. Also on display are appreciated archipelago commuter and multipurpose boats with wheelhouses, such as Alukin C770, Falcon C7, G-Force 10, Hydrolift X-27, Sargo 31 Explorer, Sting 600 HT, TG 7.9, Targa 27.2 GT, and Targa 30.1.
The exhibition will also feature a broad selection of approximately ten-meter-long cruising boats designed for Finnish conditions, including the Aquador 300 HT, Grandezza 34OC, Nordkapp Coupe 905, Marex 330, Navan C30, Quarken 35 Cabin, and Virtue V10.
A large assortment of sporty and seaworthy RIBs will be presented, including models from 3D Tender and Highfield. MAX Boats will showcase two aluminum catamarans suitable for work and commuter use.
The largest boats at the show are the nearly 12-meter Axopar 37 and the 13-meter luxury yacht Princess V40. At the smaller end of the spectrum are Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet skis, which are also available for test rides.
Organized for the First Time by the Finnish Marine Industries Federation
For the first time, the Naantali Boat Show is organized by the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat, which has taken on the responsibility of developing and running the spring’s kickoff boating event.
According to Finnboat CEO Jarkko Pajusalo, the show offers a unique opportunity to discover the latest trends, innovations, and products in boating—right at the beginning of the season.
“This is our first time organizing the event as a unified initiative of the boating industry, which is evident in the stronger-than-ever involvement of boat manufacturers. The Naantali Boat Show even has the potential to reach an international level,” Pajusalo says.
In 2025, Finnboat will be involved in organizing all three of Finland’s major boating events: the Helsinki Boat Show Vene Båt in February, the Naantali Boat Show in May, and the Helsinki Floating Boat Show Uiva Flytande in August.
Additionally, Finnboat will host the Suomiveneilee.fi Spring Carnival in mid-May—one week before the Naantali show—in cooperation with the marine industry companies on in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.
The traditional Helsinki Floating Boat Show, Uiva Flytande, will be held from August 14–17, 2025. The international Helsinki Boat Show, Vene Båt, will take place at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from February 6 to 15, 2026.
