Kempower starts delivering the MORE Power charging solution, becoming the first EV charging manufacturer ready to ship 1.2 MW of dynamically shared charging power
Kempower is ready to start the deliveries of the first phase of its MORE Power, MORE Plugs charging solution, launched in April 2025, from its European factories located in Finland. With the introduction of the MORE Power, Kempower becomes the first DC fast charging manufacturer ready to ship 1.2 megawatts of dynamic charging power.

(Lahti, Finland, 17 June 2025) – Kempower is ready to start the deliveries of the first phase of its MORE Power, MORE Plugs charging solution, launched in April 2025, from its European factories located in Finland. With the introduction of the MORE Power, Kempower becomes the first DC fast charging manufacturer to ship 1.2 megawatts of dynamic charging power. The 1.2 MW charging capacity can be dynamically distributed across 8 charging points. In addition to the normal Kempower Satellite DC fast charging dispensers, the same system can also include new Kempower Mega Satellites delivering up to 700 A using a CCS2 connector.
First EV charging manufacturer ready to deliver up to 1.2 MW dynamic power distribution
The new EV charging solution, which dynamically distributes 1.2 MW of power between Kempower Satellite charging points and a maximum 700 A CCS2 connector, is an ideal fit for charging operators aiming to provide fast charging for both electric cars and trucks. For example, a single charging field can be equipped with from 1 to 7 charging satellites for passenger EVs and one 700 A CCS2 connector for electric trucks and other heavy electric vehicles. Charging operators can also prioritize truck charging, allocating maximum power to a truck when it is connected. When no truck is present, the available power can be dynamically distributed among passenger vehicles.
“Electric trucks are still relatively rare on the roads, but their numbers are expected to grow rapidly over the next few years. The 1.2 MW power and dynamic distribution of the MORE Power solution enable EV charging providers, such as service stations, to begin offering truck charging today and scale up as the number of electric trucks increases,” says Jussi Vanhanen, Chief Market Officer at Kempower.
Existing Kempower DC fast charging systems can be upgraded for MORE Power
The 1.2 MW MORE Power solution is modular, and existing Kempower DC fast-charging fields can be upgraded in terms of both power and number of charging outputs. Kempower is currently preparing a design guide to support customers and partners in expanding their charging infrastructure. “There is a strong market demand for knowledge related to EV charging technology and charging site design. We want to make Kempower’s expertise in charging field design widely accessible. Our goal with the new guide is to simplify the planning and implementation process for all stakeholders and accelerate the transition to electric mobility,” says Vanhanen.
Key features of the first phase of Kempower’s MORE Power solution with 1.2 MW dynamic charging:
- Up to 1.2 MW charging power (two 600 kW Kempower Power Units combined into one charging system)
- Up to 8 Kempower Satellite DC fast-charging points tailored to customer’s needs
- An option to use a Kempower Mega Satellite with a CCS2 connector, offering continuous current of 700A at +40°C, and a voltage range of 150-1,000 VDC Dynamic power distribution
- Retrofit capability for existing Kempower DC fast-charging systems
- Suitable for all EV charging providers, including e.g. retail, public charging operators, commercial fleet operators, and ports
- Enables simultaneous charging of passenger EVs and electric trucks, supporting the transition to electric trucking
- Ready for deliveries, starting from Kempower’s European factories in Lahti, Finland
- Deliveries for North America will occur following the European rollout, with shipments scheduled shortly after the initial launch from Kempower’s Lahti, Finland factories. This phased approach aims to ensure regional support and availability.
