The Autumn Joint Application Starts – At VAMK Learning Happens Together
Vaasa University of Applied Sciences offers one degree programme in English in the autumn’s joint application. The application period for one of VAMK’s most sought after programmes is from September 1st to September 11th, 2025. Studies begin in January 2026.
In the national joint application’s autumn round, VAMK offers 40 study places in the popular Energy Technology program. The application period for studies starting in January 2026 begins on September 1st, 2025 at 8:00 am on Studyinfo and ends on September 11th, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
University of applied sciences’ studies are practical, and they are carried out in close cooperation with companies. Bachelor's studies include internships and numerous course projects implemented with businesses and organisations.
Shaping the Future of Energy
The popular Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Technology is one of VAMK’s most prestigious and sought-after programmes. It is carried out fully in English. The studies provide skills to utilise renewable energy sources as part of energy production, give an understanding of how to minimise environmental impact through life cycle thinking and how to apply intelligent energy production and distribution.
Graduates of Energy Technology programme will find themselves in high demand, both in Finland and globally, working on projects that drive energy production and sustainability. The energy sector is a cornerstone of the economy, particularly in Vaasa, known as the energy hub of the Nordics.

VAMK is located in the heart of Vaasa, which has more energy technology related companies than any other city in the Nordic countries. In the region, more than 160 companies work in the field of energy technology, and about 25 % of the employees of the Finnish energy sector work in Vaasa. The overall turnover of these companies is about 5 billion euros annually, and therefore it is well justified to say that Vaasa keeps the wheels of Finland's economy rolling!
