The charge point operator Eleport has opened four new charging hubs in the Croatian cities of Zagreb, Šibenik, Krk and Zadar, in collaboration with Kempower, the leading Finnish DC fast-charging manufacturer. Located in some of Croatia’s busiest cities and most popular tourist destinations, these new installations offer reliable, user-friendly, and future-proof charging – contributing to the sustainable mobility transition in Southeast Europe.

The project marks a key step in Eleport’s strategic expansion into Croatia, with the goal of providing high-performance charging infrastructure where it is needed most: in urban centers and along busy travel routes. The four sites offer a total of 24 fast-charging points, delivering up to 2.2  megawatts of total installed capacity, expandable to 3.4 megawatts.

“At Eleport, we want to make electric mobility accessible to everyone – reliably, quickly, and without complications. To achieve that, we need strong partners. Kempower not only provides the performance we require, but also the flexibility we need to future-proof our network,” says Jakub Miler, CEO of Eleport.

At the core of each location is the Kempower Satellite charging system with CCS2 outputs, delivering up to 300 kW per charging point. With intelligent, real-time dynamic power distribution, the system allocates available power optimally across all connected vehicles – eliminating waiting times and maximizing efficiency.

All sites are modular in design and can be easily expanded as demand grows – a crucial advantage in a region experiencing rapid EV adoption.

“With Kempower, we’ve found a partner that not only delivers outstanding technology but also shares our vision: making electric mobility accessible and practical for everyday use,” says Cezary Kowalczyk, COO of Eleport.

The collaboration between Eleport and Kempower demonstrates how fast-charging infrastructure can be implemented efficiently, at scale, and with a user-first approach. It represents a major step forward for clean transportation in Croatia and serves as a model for similar initiatives across Central and Eastern Europe.

“This project highlights the essential role of fast-charging technology in building a sustainable transport infrastructure. We’re proud to partner with Eleport – a company that shares our belief in clean, intelligent mobility,” says Igor Ban, Head of Sales, Central and Eastern Europe at Kempower.
