Welcome to the media event on October 9 from 9.00 to 10:00 a.m. to hear about the change and its effects! This message contains a link for remote participation in the event.

From the beginning of 2026, mail sent by several authorities will primarily arrive electronically in Suomi.fi Messages.
When an individual identifies themselves in the e-services of an authority for the first time at the beginning of 2026 or after that, an electronic mailbox will be created for them in Suomi.fi Messages. The change will affect about two million digital service users who do not use Suomi.fi Messages yet. After this change, the Suomi.fi Messages will be used by more than four million people.
Media representatives now have the opportunity to hear and ask about the change and its implementation at a media event organised on Thursday 9 October 2025.
The event will be organised at Sofia Helsinki (Sofiankatu 4 C, Helsinki) and remotely.
The program begins at 9:00 a.m. (breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. for those attending the event on site).
At the event, experts from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency will explain
- what the change is about
- how the change will be visible to citizens
- what kind of campaign and tour will be organised to introduce the change to citizens
At the event, it will be possible to agree an interview with the experts responsible for the project.
The event will be held in Finnish.
