Finnish marine industry showcases strong presence at Metstrade with its largest-ever pavilion
Renowned as a global powerhouse in boating, Finland will be represented at this year’s Metstrade show with its most extensive pavilion to date. A total of 15 Finnish companies will be featured, spanning a broad range of specialties from decking materials and various marine components to heaters, electronics, and design expertise.

Finnish companies have participated in Metstrade with a joint national stand since 1991. “The Finland Pavilion has clearly earned its place at Metstrade, once again highlighting impressive new products and companies that have succeeded in international competition,” says Jarkko Pajusalo, CEO of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat.
The event also includes the prestigious DAME Design Awards, often referred to as the marine industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. This year, Finnish innovation has earned a place in the finals: the heated Smartdeck HEAT, developed by Brand ID from Pori, was selected as a finalist—a significant achievement for a newly launched product.
Smartdeck HEAT is a heated marine decking solution that adds comfort and luxury to boating in colder conditions. The original Smartdeck material has previously been ranked best in class in a marine decking test by YACHT, the leading boating magazine in Germany.
- Metstrade takes place at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam, 18–20 November 2025.
- The Finland Pavilion will be larger than ever before at the world’s leading marine equipment trade show.
- “The pavilion features exciting new products and companies that thrive in international markets,” says Finnboat CEO Jarkko Pajusalo.
- Brand ID’s innovative Smartdeck HEAT has been named a finalist in the prestigious DAME Design Awards.
In addition to the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat, the following companies will be present in the 2025 Finland Pavilion: Brand ID, Jukova (TriDeck), Lahnakoski, Mirka, Meluton, Navix, Nawa, Nextfour Solutions, Oceanvolt, Päijän Boats, Safire, Toppi, VA-Varuste, Velcron and Wallas.
