19.11.2025 08:00:00 EET | Sweco Finland Oy | Press release
At the beginning of October, Sweco signed an agreement to acquire Fimpec Group. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has on 18 November 2025 approved the completion of the acquisition.

The acquisition will increase Sweco's organisation by around 400 employees and strengthen Sweco's position as an expert in consulting, engineering as well as project and construction management, especially in energy and industrial sectors. For Fimpec, the acquisition enables the further development and growth of its business and key areas of expertise as part of a multidisciplinary and stable company.
"It is great to be able to welcome Fimpec's experts to Sweco. Together, we can offer our clients first-class project execution and design expertise as well as comprehensive services for the implementation of even the most demanding projects," says Thomas Hietto, CEO of Sweco Finland.
The acquisition will be completed at the beginning of December, when the Fimpec companies will be transferred to Sweco's ownership in their current form. Contracts and projects will continue as before, and the acquisition will not cause any action to clients. According to current estimates, the merger of Fimpec companies with Sweco will take place during spring 2026.
