Laura Inttilä appointed Senior Vice President, Helsinki Airport

Laura Inttilä, M.Sc. (IT), has been appointed Senior Vice President, Helsinki Airport and a member of the Finavia Executive Group. In her role, she will be responsible for the management and development of Helsinki Airport. In September, Ulla Serlenius, the current SVP of Helsinki Airport, became Senior Vice President of Finavia’s new Commercial and Real Estate business area in accordance with the company’s new strategy.

Laura Inttilä moves to Finavia from Posti, where she worked in the eCommerce and Delivery Services business group from 2020 and was responsible for managing Posti’s operations. Previously, Laura has held leadership positions in the international service business at Lowell Oy and several development positions at Nokia. At Finavia, Laura Inttilä will report to CEO Kimmo Mäki

Laura brings with her more than 15 years of experience in data-driven leadership of personnel-intensive service business, which will help us further strengthen the growth and success of Finavia and Helsinki Airport," says Finavia’s CEO Kimmo Mäki. 

In accordance with Finavia’s strategy published in August 2025, profitable growth and the improvement of operational efficiency in the airport business are at the core of the company’s strategy. The aim is to use strong partnerships to support the provision of excellent airport services and the identification of new business opportunities.

Inttilä will start in her new role on 1 February 2026 at the latest. Before Inttilä moves to Finavia, Serlenius, SVP of the Commercial and Real Estate business unit, will also serve as interim SVP of Helsinki Airport.

Latvialainen lentoyhtiö airBaltic avaa uudet suorat reittilennot Kuusamoon talvikaudelle 2026–2027, ja sijoittaa yhden lentokoneistaan Kuusamon lentoasemalle vilkkaimpien talvikuukausien ajaksi. Joulukuusta 2026 maaliskuuhun 2027 Kuusamon lentoasemalta pääsee suorilla lennoilla Isoon-Britanniaan (Lontoo ja Manchester), Saksaan (Berliini ja Hampuri) sekä Latviaan (Riika).

Finavia Group’s result for the financial year 2025 showed a profit for the first time since the 2019. The company’s revenues and operating margin grew significantly, even though the operating environment remained challenging. In 2025, the total number of passengers on scheduled and chartered flights at Finavia’s airports was 20.4 million (19.6). The number of passengers increased by 4.4 per cent. Finavia renewed its strategy and operating model to increase its growth opportunities and value creation.

Finavia-konsernin vuoden 2025 tilikauden tulos oli voitollinen ensimmäistä kertaa vuoden 2019 jälkeen. Finavian liikevaihto ja käyttökate kasvoivat merkittävästi toimintaympäristön epävarmuuksista huolimatta. Vuonna 2025 Finavian lentoasemilla oli reitti- ja tilauslentojen matkustajia yhteensä 20,4 miljoonaa (19,6 miljoonaa). Matkustajamäärä kasvoi 4,4 prosenttia. Lisätäkseen kasvumahdollisuuksia ja liiketoimintansa laaja-alaista arvonluontia Finavia uudisti strategiansa ja toimintamallinsa.
