Gofore invests in AI services by becoming a founding partner in a new consulting company

Gofore continues to support its customers through the AI transition and transformation with its broad expertise and service offering. Now, the company is seeking additional momentum through a new AI-native growth company, which will begin operations in early 2026. In the new company, all services offered to customers and all solutions delivered will be designed from the ground up with AI in mind.

The new company combines business consulting with concrete AI solutions. It focuses on enhancing and automating entire business functions or processes — for example, customer service operations and order-to-delivery processes. The new company will collaborate with Gofore in sales and customer deliveries. The goal is to build a community that attracts top AI talent in Finland.

Gofore invests in AI on multiple fronts

“In addition to strengthening Gofore’s own AI capabilities, the new company responds to the growing demand in a market that is still evolving and where customer needs are highly diverse. Some customers value smaller studio-type players, while others appreciate the ability to support a more comprehensive AI transformation. Soon we will have both, which gives us a strong position across different competitive scenarios. An independent company can compete with niche players,” says Gofore’s CEO Mikael Nylund.

Osmo Haapaniemi appointed CEO

One of the two founding entrepreneurs is Osmo Haapaniemi, who will also take on the role of Managing Partner and CEO of the new company. Haapaniemi and the other founder bring several decades of leadership experience in digital consulting, growth companies, and strategy. Both have strong expertise and insight into customer needs and how to address them in an AI-native way. Haapaniemi previously served as Managing Director of Futurice Finland and as COO of Futurice.

“AI develops faster than organisations do. This has created a growing gap between what is technologically possible and what companies are able to adopt. Leaders must balance two difficult tasks: choosing the right investments and ensuring people adopt them. The gap between a working prototype and a functioning business is where most AI initiatives fail. This is exactly the point at which we aim to help our customers bridge the gap,” Haapaniemi says.

• Gofore will own a majority of the company, while the founders and future key personnel will hold minority ownership.
• The new company aims to become a leading applied AI consultancy in Finland and to pursue profitable net sales growth that supports the long-term financial targets of the parent company, Gofore.
