Industry-driven studies
A brand-new study option is a 3.5-year long English-language degree programme Nursing, Bachelor of Health Care. An important part of the studies is intensive Finnish language learning, so that upon graduation the student will have full competence to work both in Finnish and English. During the studies, tutors support international students in integrating into Finnish society.
In the field of technology, VAMK offers a four-year English-language engineering degree: Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology (B.Eng.). The programme focuses on software engineering and embedded systems, with applications in areas such as energy efficiency, production, and distribution.
The 3.5-year English-language Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree introduces students to the world of international business. The program includes a diverse range of studies in international trade and marketing, logistics, entrepreneurship, and financial management. Students can also include exchange studies or internships abroad as part of their degree.
Work-oriented development
A new option among master’s level degrees is a one-year Energy Storage Systems programme fully in English. Other technology-related master’s degrees available for application are Cloud-Based Software Engineering and Project Management in Engineering. Both of these programs also have a duration of one year.
In the field of business, there are two master’s level programmes, each lasting 1.5 years. International Business Management focuses on developing and managing international trade. Project Management in Business trains professional project managers providing them with IPMA Level C competence.
Teaching in all master’s level programmes is flexible and includes lectures, independent work, self-directed study, and development assignments. The emphasis is on collaborative learning, and studies can be linked to students own work tasks. The thesis, which is carried out as a development project, offers an excellent opportunity to improve your workplace, organisation, or project.
