Over 100 summer employees – not a single CV or cover letter: DNA continues its humane and equal recruitment model
16.1.2026 09:00:00 EET | DNA Oyj | Press release
DNA will once again recruit around 100 one-of-a-akind summer colleagues across Finland for next summer – as usual, without a CV or traditional cover letter. This well‑established, humane recruitment model supports DNA’s employer promise: a humane and one-of-a-kind DNA, where summer employees are trusted just like permanent staff. Summer colleagues are offered the same employment benefits and rights as permanent employees.

Open summer positions are located in dozens of cities across Finland. Roles are available especially in technology and technical specialist positions, in B2B and consumer sales, and in customer‑service‑oriented store work. Many current DNA employees began their careers as summer workers.
DNA is a proven great place for summer work
In 2025, DNA was awarded Duunitori’s Proven Good Summer Job recognition, granted to employers who invest in good onboarding, fair treatment, and high‑quality work‑life experience for summer employees. The recognition is based on researched data and the experiences of summer employees, reinforcing DNA’s commitment to responsible, humane, and equal employer practices also in summer employment.
“It is particularly meaningful in this time to be able to offer more than 100 summer jobs and lower young people’s barriers to applying for work through CV‑free recruitment. The Proven Good Summer Job recognition awarded to DNA is a strong indication of our commitment to our workplace promise: a humane and one-of-a-kind work community where trust, freedom, and responsibility go hand in hand. Summer employees receive the same employment benefits and comprehensive occupational healthcare as our permanent staff throughout their contract period. We want every summer employee to genuinely feel part of the DNA community,” says Marko Rissanen, Senior Vice President, Human Resources at DNA.
CV‑free recruitment makes job seeking easier and more equal
As a responsible employer, DNA aims to reduce the burden on job seekers and make the summer job application process as smooth as possible. This is why summer employees will also be hired in 2026 without a CV or cover letter. DNA introduced CV‑free recruitment already in 2020, and the experiences have clearly been positive: candidate experience improves, and job seeking feels more equal.
DNA carries out CV‑free recruitment using the Dialogi tool developed by Duunitori. The key to successful CV‑free recruitment lies in well‑crafted application questions. When the questions focus on the skills and motivation relevant for the role, recruiters can easily identify the most promising applicants.
“We have achieved great results with DNA using CV‑free recruitment. According to Duunitori’s summer job survey, one applicant applies on average to more than ten summer jobs. Making this process easier is especially important to ensure a more humane job‑seeking experience,” summarizes Lauri Iso‑Markku.
Summer recruitment for DNA Stores and the sales team is carried out in cooperation with DNA’s long‑term staffing partners Barona, Rainmaker, and Staffpoint.
