Adven joins the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) to accelerate its exploration of the Polish industrial energy market
Adven has joined the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce (SPCC), strengthening its exploration of industrial energy opportunities in Poland and plugging into a strong local network of like-minded value-based companies.
Poland is scaling fast as an industrial economy - yet still runs one of Europe’s most coal-dependent power and heat systems. For heat-intensive manufacturers, that creates urgent demand for partners who can deliver reliable, investment-ready decarbonisation, especially for industrial heat and steam.
Adven is a leading Nordic energy group with 50+ years of experience and a strong European presence, built on two strong legs offering synergies to both society and the involved parties: district heating and industrial energy solutions. Adven delivers reliable, sustainability and performance-driven utilities and energy - and, just as importantly, peace of mind to management and boards, so they can focus on their core business, R&D and growth.
Via Adven´s Energy as a Service partnership model, we engineer, finance, build, operate, 24/7 monitor and maintain industrial energy and water solutions for our clients. Clients get reliable energy and utilities without CAPEX, while Adven takes full responsibility for performance. Adven’s solutions span steam and cooling, water and wastewater treatment, MVR evaporation and crystallisation, side-stream utilisation, heat pumps, and excess-heat recovery - with capabilities extending to on-site electricity infrastructure, carbon capture and hydrogen.
“Poland is a great example of a market where Adven can make a real difference - industrial, ambitious and in need of proven innovative partners to move away from coal and fossil fuels. Joining SPCC gives us the right platform to build long-term partnerships in the country. Poland is also a major manufacturing hub for many companies we already work with, so supporting their local sites there is a natural next step alongside our core markets”, says Adven´s Group CEO Jonas Sjölander.
New role to lead market development
Adven has appointed Kristaps Greidāns as Market Development Director for Poland from within the firm, responsible for building local presence, advancing the first industrial projects, and developing long-term partnerships with Polish companies and sites.
“Poland is a big, confident and relationship-driven market. You need to show up, listen and prove you’re here to invest for the long term. Our services strengthen profitability, sustainability and license to operate – turning decarbonisation from a perceived cost and risk into a competitive advantage through concrete projects. Taking on Poland is a fantastic professional challenge, and many exciting industrial energy projects are already being discussed”, says Kristaps Greidāns.
Ambition toward 2030
Adven aims to develop its first industrial energy sites with new partners in the coming years -targeting at least two sites toward 2030, with the first potentially operational around 2027. Over time, Adven’s goal is to reach a meaningful share - around 10% within chosen industry segments.
