Group CEO Markus Hellström comments:
“Overall, 2025 was a successful year for the Snellman Group. We increased both our net sales and our operating profit, achieving record results in both. Our accident frequency fell by approximately 36 percent. Our personnel actively participated in safety work, and we made a record number of safety observations. With the acquisition of the Eat&Enjoy brand, our Ready Meals Finland business unit expanded into ready‑to‑eat products such as various sandwich products and ready‑to‑eat cold salads. Petfood business gained a foothold in the growing UK pet food market by acquiring the business operations of the English raw dog food manufacturer Benyfit Natural.

Together we worked hard and can be proud of our results. I want to thank all Snellman Group’s employees for their committed work toward our shared goals, as well as our owners, partners, and customers for their cooperation and trust.”

Business development
The year 2025 was successful overall, and we exceeded the financial targets we had set. The Group’s net sales grew by 3.2 percent compared to the previous year, reaching EUR 476.6 (1–12/2024: 461.7) million. All our business units strengthened their market positions. Our operating profit improved by 12.6 percent, ending at EUR 24.5 (21.7) million, which represents a historic record for us.

Sustainability
We made several positive advancements in our sustainability work in 2025. Early in the year, we completed a double materiality assessment that identified the most material topics for our business: climate change, circular economy, our own workforce, workers in the value chain, and business conduct. Our sustainability strategy, that unifies the entire Group’s sustainability efforts under one goal: More sustainably produced food - a better future for everyone, was finalized.

We set materiality‑based sustainability targets extending to 2030. We committed to the Science-Based Targets initiative and began defining short‑term emission reduction targets. We decided to report progress on our sustainability work according to the VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Standard for SMEs) standard starting from 2025. The report will be published during spring 2026 and will provide further details on our sustainability efforts.

Personnel
Occupational safety continued to be one of the most important themes across the Group during the year. Safety observations increased by 40 percent compared to the previous year. Our accident frequency (Lost Time Accident Frequency, LTAF) decreased again by over 30 percent from the previous year, reaching 16.04 (31 Dec 2024: 25.02) at year end. Our healthy‑at‑work rate increased slightly compared to the previous year, reaching 94.9 (2024: 94.3) percent.

At the end of 2025, Snellman Group employed 2,121 (31 Dec 2024: 1,983) people. Personnel growth was partly due to acquisitions completed during the year.

Outlook for 2026
Our expectations for 2026 are carefully optimistic. We continue to see significant opportunities to develop our operations, including accelerating the sales of newly acquired businesses. We believe in our success in the market, trust our strong brands, and our ability to renew the market. Continuous improvement has become a deeply rooted way of working for us, and we believe it will continue to bring ongoing benefits.

Our employees are the cornerstone of our business, and we want to continue strengthening their well‑being and sense of inclusion. We expect customer collaboration to remain fruitful as we jointly shape the market in a more consumer‑oriented direction.

We expect both our net sales and profitability to strengthen further in 2026.
