Sweco Finland's net sales for the fourth quarter were EUR 92.5 million, which was EUR 10 million more than in the corresponding period last year. EBITA for the quarter was EUR 12.2 million, compared to EUR 10.2 million in the corresponding period in 2024. The EBITA margin remained at a good level being 13.2 per cent, which was an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the corresponding period last year.

Sweco Finland's net sales in 2025 were EUR 329 million (EUR 315 million in 2024) and the EBITA margin was 10.0 per cent (10.3 per cent in 2024).

With the acquisitions, Sweco Finland's number of employees increased to approximately 3,300 at the end of 2025.

"Our last quarter was overall good, even though the operating environment in Finland remained challenging. During the year, we made several acquisitions that supported our growth in strategically important areas. With them, we became Finland's leading architecture and engineering consultancy," says Thomas Hietto, CEO of Sweco Finland.

At the beginning of 2025, Sweco announced the acquisition of the Sipti companies. With the acquisition, Sweco significantly increased the share of geotechnical engineering and consulting in its service offering and at the same time strengthened its environmental consulting services.

In October 2025, Sweco signed an agreement to acquire Fimpec Group. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved the acquisition in November, and the Fimpec companies were transferred to Sweco's ownership at the beginning of December. The acquisition strengthened Sweco's position as an expert in consulting, engineering as well as project and construction management, especially in the energy and industry sectors.

"The cooperation between Sweco and Fimpec has got off to a great start, and we have already succeeded in joint sales and client work," says Thomas Hietto.

At the beginning of 2026, Sweco announced the acquisition of Maisema-arkkitehtitoimisto Näkymä Oy. The acquisition complements Sweco’s landscape architecture services and strengthens Sweco’s position, especially in large cities as well as historically and culturally valuable sites.

During the fourth quarter, Sweco Finland won several significant projects.

The City of Turku in Finland has selected an expert group formed by Sweco and Second Horizon Advisory to prepare a nature roadmap, translating the Nature Positive Turku 2030 goals into a feasible plan. Sweco provides expertise in planning and stakeholder engagement to support the city’s environmental strategy. The first draft will be completed in 2026, with implementation starting in early 2027.

Kemira selected Sweco to implement a new production line at its Äetsä production plant, which will produce powdered sodium boron hydride for the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. The expansion project will be implemented using the EPCM model, in which Sweco is responsible for the project management, covering design, procurement coordination and construction supervision. The new production line will be commissioned by the end of 2026.

Sweco will act as Owner's Engineer in GTK Mintec's pilot plant project. GTK Mintec is a mineral processing and circular economy research unit of the Geological Survey of Finland, which provides research and testing services for the entire value chain of mining companies, from ore deposits to mine closures and the reuse of materials. The new plant will increase and diversify research capacity and modernise research facilities. Construction will start in autumn 2026, and all operations of the pilot plant are expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

"In 2025, we focused especially on client focus, competence development, organizational agility and the utilization of artificial intelligence, and these will be our key focus areas this year as well," says Thomas Hietto.
