The Finland-headquartered DC fast charging manufacturer Kempower has become the latest company in the EV charging industry to join ChargeUp Europe. ChargeUp Europe is a collective of companies from across the EV charging value chain – from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and charging operators to software solution providers, recycling companies and research institutes – that are seeking to enhance the rollout of EV infrastructure across Europe.
The collective was founded in 2020 to act as a unified voice for the EV charging market, work towards a complete EV charging rollout across Europe and make the EV industry work well for consumers and companies. ChargeUp Europe’s mission is to push for a consumer-first EV infrastructure rollout, make EV driving convenient across borders through an open-market model, and remove market barriers that slow the transition down, such as grid and data sharing constraints.
To join the initiative, Kempower needed to meet specific criteria, including being an active supporter of a smooth e-mobility transition with open and uniform communication protocols and standards, and committing to the highest standards of cybersecurity.
As a member, Kempower representatives will regularly join with the more than 40 other companies involved to contribute the company’s insights and collectively push for positive policy shifts.
Jussi Vanhanen, Kempower’s Chief Product Officer, said: “At Kempower, everything we do is underpinned by our mission to foster a more sustainable tomorrow through electrifying transportation. Charging is an essential part of the equation and it must be able to happen seamlessly, reliably and universally for consumers. It was a natural step for us to join ChargeUp Europe and collaborate with industry peers who are equally committed to making this a reality.”
Lucie Mattera, Secretary General of ChargeUp Europe, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kempower as our newest ChargeUp Europe member. Kempower’s excellence in DC fast-charging technology, including solutions for heavy-duty vehicles and high-power charging environments, already brings recognised and valuable expertise to our industry, and now to ChargeUp Europe's work."

EV Realty avaa Kaliforniassa merkittävän rekkojen latauskeskuksen Kempowerin latausratkaisuilla9.4.2026 22:00:00 EEST | Tiedote
Kempower ja EV Realty parantavat luotettavien ja skaalautuvien latausratkaisujen saatavuutta avaamalla eri kuljetuskalustojen käyttöön suunnatun rekkalatauskeskuksen San Bernardinossa Kaliforniassa. Keskuksessa on 74 Kempowerin satelliittilaturia ja kaksi Kempower Mega Satellite -laturia, joilla voidaan ladata keskiraskasta ja raskasta kuljetuskalustoa niiden erilaisten tarpeiden mukaisesti. Megawattilatausjärjestelmä (MCS) takaa operaattoreille suuremmat latausnopeudet ja toiminnallisen joustavuuden. Kaikkiaan 9 megawatin latauskapasiteetin asemalla on mittava infrastruktuuri. Aseman MCS-latureiden kapasiteetti on jopa 1,2 MW ja CCS-latureiden 500 kW. Latauskeskuksen avautuminen on merkittävä edistysaskel raskaan kuljetuskaluston sähköistämisessä Pohjois-Amerikassa. ”Sähköinen kuljetuskalusto tarvitsee päivittäisen toiminnan tueksi skaalautuvaa infrastruktuuria”, sanoo Kempowerin Pohjois-Amerikan toiminnoista vastaava johtaja Monil Malhotra. ”San Bernardinon rekkalatauskeskus on suunn
