Remote service pilot at Suomi-piste service points ending in Imatra, Nurmes and Porvoo – Kela’s services still available

Customers can access all of Kela’s services online via the OmaKela e-service (available in Finnish or Swedish) or by calling our customer service. Personal service will also continue to be available at service points in Imatra, Nurmes and Porvoo:

• Customer service point in Imatra, Napinkuja 3, open 12–15 from Tuesday to Thursday
• Joint service point in Nurmes, Nurmeksenkatu 25, open 9–11 on Monday and Tuesday
• Customer service point in Porvoo, Lundinkatu 22, open 9–12 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

The pilot study on remote service expanded to the service locations in Imatra, Porvoo and Nurmes in September 2025. The pilot is part of a larger project to reform the network of government services and premises in the 2020s to ensure better access to government services throughout the country.

Kela offers remote service in over 200 locations across Finland

Via Kela’s remote service, customers can get personal advice and manage their affairs as if they were visiting a Kela service point. Kela’s remote service is available at more than 200 service locations, such as municipal joint service points, wellbeing centres and Ohjaamo guidance centres for young people.

Suomi-piste service points offer access to a variety of public administration services under one roof. Kela currently provides service at Suomi-piste service points in Lahti and Lappeenranta. New Suomi-piste service points will be opened in 2026.
