InterSystems nimittänyt terveydenhuoltotoiminnan johtajaksi tohtori Tim Ferrisin, entisen NHS- ja Mass General ‑johtajan

InterSystems on luovien datateknologiaratkaisujen tarjoaja, jonka ratkaisuihin on tallennettu yli miljardi terveystietotietuetta maailmanlaajuisesti. Yritys ilmoitti tänään nimittäneensä terveydenhuoltotoiminnan johtajaksi lääketieteen tohtori Tim Ferrisin. Ferris työskenteli viimeksi terveydenhuoltojohtajana Red Cell Partnersissa, joka on teknologiayrityshautomo ja sijoitusyhtiö. Sitä ennen hän työskenteli Yhdistyneen kuningaskunnan NHS-terveydenhuoltojärjestelmän kansallisena muutosjohtajana. Tässä roolissa hän hallinnoi 2,5 miljardin dollarin budjettia ja johti mittavaa etulinjan digitalisaation edistämishanketta. Hän auttoi laajentamaan NHS-sovelluksen käyttöä yli 40 miljoonalle kansalaiselle, siirtämään kansallisia datapalveluita pilveen sekä solmimaan uraauurtavia datasopimuksia johtavien globaalien teknologia- ja biotekniikkayritysten kanssa.
Ennen uraauurtavaa rooliaan NHS:ssä Ferris toimi Massachusettsin yleislääkärijärjestön toimitusjohtajana ja puheenjohtajana sekä Mass General Brighamissa väestönterveydestä vastaavana vanhempana varapääjohtajana. Hänen alaisuudessaan työskenteli näissä tehtävissä 3 000 lääkäriä. Lisäksi hän johti vastuullisen hoidon organisaatiota, joka saavutti laatumittareilla kansallisen huipputason ja tuotti veronmaksajille samalla yli miljardin dollarin kumulatiiviset kustannussäästöt.
Ferris on myös tunnustettu johtaja terveydenhuollon tietotekniikan alalla ja Harvardissa kouluttautunut lääkäri. Hänet nimitettiin Harvardin yliopiston lääketieteen professoriksi vuonna 2018.
