2.4.2026 08:48:03 EEST | HUS | Press release
HUS published its Annual Report 2025. The Annual Report outlines how HUS progressed its strategic goals during the year, and the direction in which specialized healthcare is developed in the coming years.

In 2025, HUS succeeded in balancing its finances and covering the deficits as required by legislation and within the required time frame, while also improving customer experience and access to care.
Balancing the finances and covering the deficits accumulated from previous years have created a more stable foundation for the coming years. Financial sustainability is a prerequisite for HUS to continue providing high-quality, cost-effective, and equitable specialized healthcare services.
In 2025, HUS treated 711,000 patients altogether. HUS’s Net Promoter Score, measuring customer satisfaction, continued to rise and reached 83, reflecting patients’ high level of satisfaction with the care they received. As a result, the strategic goal of offering the best customer experience in Finland is closer than ever.
The personnel situation also developed in a positive direction. HUS employed a total of 26,500 people in 2025. Employee experience remained strong, availability improved and turnover decreased. This development supports our goal of being the most desirable place to work.
The Annual Report also describes HUS’s close cooperation with the Uusimaa wellbeing services counties, the City of Helsinki, and the Southern Finland collaborative area.
During 2025, HUS built an organization-wide ISO 9001 quality management system, with first certifications completed in March 2026. HUS also launched the preparation of its first comprehensive sustainability program. The program will be completed in 2026.
