Phishing messages has been sent out in the name of wellbeing services county´s child welfare and oral health care

Scam messages have at least been sent to clients in the name of Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county´s child welfare and oral health care. According to information, messages have been sent at least via email.

Messages sent out in the name of child welfare have the headline ”Kutsu kuulemiseen” and the recipients are asked to log in to the online service portal. Messages sent out in the name of oral health care have the headline ”Muistutus ajanvarauksesta!” and a link to the client portal have been added.

It is a question about phising, which aim is to obtain, for example, personal client data. There are no links in the messages sent by the wellbeing services county´s child welfare´s time booking. A scam message can also be identified by the sender´s name or e-mail address, but they can be very convincing.

“We ask out clients  to be cautious about any messages that seem even slightly suspicious. The links in the messages shall not be opened and no personal information shall be given to the person asking for them", reminds security and preparednesses senior specialist Mira Kulonen from the wellbeing services county.

If the client is unsure about the authenticity of the message, he/she can contact the actor directly, from whom the message is said to be from.

Phishing messages have been circulating over the past year as well.
