Duell’s warehouse in Mustasaari, Finland, receives Warehouse Excellence Award 2026 recognition

Duell’s warehouse in Mustasaari, Finland, has received the Warehouse Excellence Award 2026 recognition from our warehouse system supplier Elisa Industriq Finland during the Supply Chain Competitiveness 2026 event in Tampere, Finland. The award is given annually to companies leading the development of modern warehouse and internal logistics operations.

The recognition highlights the systematic development of Mustasaari warehouse operations and the smart use of the WMS (Warehouse Management System) to improve efficiency and scalability. Over the past years, the warehouse has transitioned from fixed storage locations to dynamic warehouse storage, while product placement, picking processes, workload balancing, and dedicated picking zones have been continuously optimised to improve operational flow and resource utilisation.

“These developments have delivered significant results. Warehouse efficiency has improved by nearly 40%, while daily handled order lines during peak season have increased by around 30-40%. During the busiest periods, the warehouse is now capable of handling more than 3,500 order lines per day. Today, around 40 employees work daily at the Mustasaari logistics centre”, said Emil Eckerman, Mustasaari Warehouse Manager, Duell.

The award also highlights the strong cooperation between Duell and Elisa Industriq, as well as the continuous development work carried out by our logistics, development, and operational teams. Much of this work may not always be visible in daily operations, but it has a direct impact on efficiency, scalability, customer deliveries, and Duell’s overall competitiveness.
