Press release Warsaw / Helsinki, June 2nd, 2026

The expansion reflects rapidly growing demand for specialist expertise as Poland accelerates investments in civil protection, defence infrastructure and the protection of critical facilities. While significant resources are being directed towards new projects, many public and private stakeholders are simultaneously facing a broader challenge: determining what level of protection is required, how protective infrastructure should be designed and integrated into existing developments, and how long-term operational readiness can be maintained.

Through its Warsaw office, Temet will work closely with government authorities, defence organisations, municipalities, infrastructure operators, developers and construction partners to support the planning, design, implementation and lifecycle management of protective infrastructure across the country.

Poland has significantly increased investment in defence and security in recent years while launching initiatives aimed at strengthening civil protection capabilities and safeguarding critical infrastructure. As organisations move from policy objectives to practical implementation, demand is growing not only for products and systems, but also for strategic guidance, protection engineering expertise and proven models for developing resilient protective infrastructure at scale.

"Poland is entering a new phase in the development of its civil protection and security capabilities," said Juha Simola, Chairman of the Board of Temet Polska.

"Many of the questions currently being addressed in Poland – from protection requirements and shelter planning to technical standards and long-term maintenance models – are areas where Finland has accumulated decades of practical experience. By establishing a permanent presence in Warsaw, we can work directly with local stakeholders and help accelerate the development of effective, sustainable protective infrastructure."

Founded in 1953, Temet has played a key role in the development of Finland's civil protection ecosystem for more than seven decades. Beyond individual projects, the company has contributed to shelter programmes, protective infrastructure development, engineering practices and technical solutions that support one of the world's most comprehensive civil protection systems.

Having delivered more than 57,000 projects in over 85 countries, Temet combines international experience with practical expertise gained from Finland's long-standing approach to civil preparedness and infrastructure resilience.

Temet provides integrated solutions covering the full lifecycle of protective infrastructure projects, including condition assessments, feasibility studies, engineering design, shelter modernisation, blast protection, CBRN protection systems, automation technologies and maintenance services. The company also supports stakeholders in defining protection requirements, evaluating existing assets and developing long-term protection strategies that align with operational and regulatory objectives.

"Poland's investment programme creates a unique opportunity to build not only infrastructure, but also the expertise, processes and standards that support long-term resilience," said Arkadiusz Gmitrzak, Sales Director at Temet Polska.

"Drawing on decades of experience from Finland and projects across multiple countries, we can help Polish organisations make informed decisions from the earliest planning stages through implementation and operation."
