Buster is expanding its centre console boat range with the new Buster XL CC. Positioned in the class just over six metres, this aluminium boat is equipped with a robust, all-aluminium centre console and is well suited for a wide range of uses in archipelago and large lake environments, including professional use, cargo transport, fishing, commuting, and family day trips.

The Buster Mcc, launched last year and already proving highly popular, is now joined by the larger Buster XL CC.

“Demand for centre console boats has clearly increased, which is why we are rapidly expanding the range into larger boat models. The Buster Mcc, launched last year and already proving highly popular, is now joined by the larger Buster XL CC, with the next-size-up Buster XXL CC to follow later,” says Artturi Niittynen, Buster’s Sales and Marketing Director.

The Buster XL CC is a 6.05-metre-long and 2.2-metre-wide centre console boat with a maximum engine power of 115 hp. The boat is rated for six people and has a load capacity of 700 kg. In the upcoming Buster XXL CC, maximum engine power will increase to 150 hp and load capacity to nearly 800 kg.

Protected by the sturdy all-aluminium console, the Buster XL cc features two separate offshore seats. Additional passenger space is provided by the wide aft bench and the optional bench/storage box positioned in front of the console. For the larger XXL CC model, additional seat boxes that extend the aft bench into a U-shaped sofa will also be available.

For those who need more shelter in addition to the wide console, side doors and a sprayhood will also be offered.

There are generous walkways on both sides of the console, while the bow offers a large, flat area for cargo — or for two anglers casting side by side.

“The new centre console versions are multi-purpose boats in which particular attention has been paid to ergonomics and driving comfort. Especially practical are the large, flat aft swim platforms, which make boarding easier both from the water and from the dock, while also providing working space, for example when fishing,” says Johan Finnberg, Buster’s Marketing Manager.

Standard equipment on the Buster XL CC includes a 10” Buster Q smart display and Navionics digital charts. A larger 12” display is available as an option.

The generously designed console also has space for an additional display without obstructing forward visibility. Buster brand ambassador and fishing guide Jani Ollikainen says the large console and spacious open deck make the boat an attractive option for casting enthusiasts as well.

“The console is large enough to provide excellent wind protection for the driver and allows several fish finders or chart plotters to be installed side by side if needed,” Ollikainen says.

Thanks to a hull designed with fuel efficiency in mind, the Buster XL’s fuel consumption remains at 0.7 litres per nautical mile at a comfortable cruising speed of 19–23 knots. The large 160-litre fuel tank gives the boat a good range even at its top speed of 36 knots, where consumption remains at 1.1 litres per nautical mile.

Buster’s aluminium boat range has included centre console models since the 1980s. The first centre console model at the time was the Big Buster CC Fish, which was roughly comparable in size to today’s M models. The current range includes the 4.43-metre Buster Scc, equipped with a slim centre console and a 30 hp Yamaha outboard, as well as the 4.86-metre Buster Mcc, which is based on the clean-lined and spacious Buster M model. In addition to the centre console version, the boat is also available in single- and twin-console versions.

The Buster Mcc has a maximum engine power of 40 hp and reaches a top speed of approximately 27 knots. In its most fuel-efficient cruising range of 15–22 knots, fuel consumption remains at 0.5 litres per nautical mile.

Production of the new Buster XL cc will begin in October 2026, with prices to be announced in September. The smaller centre console models, the Buster S cc and Buster M cc, are already in production and continuously available.
