Medicortex now trademarked

The approved trademark is the company’s second registered trademark in addition to the trademark ProbTBI^TM which is related to a specific test kit and has been in use for a few years. The new trademark Medicortex^TM protects widely the company’s expected products and services for brain injury diagnostics and treatment.

“We are delighted that the authorities found the name Medicortex to be unique and protectable as a trademark”, says Dr. Adrian Harel, the CEO and founder of Medicortex Finland Oyj. “This will give the company a strong position to design its upcoming product portfolio and establish the name on the market”, Dr. Harel adds.

The company has identified new biomarkers of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in body fluids and is developing the first non-invasive point-of-injury test for rapid detection of TBI in urine or saliva. The company is undergoing a business transaction with the Swedish company Nosium AB (publ) whereby Nosium intends to acquire the majority of shares in Medicortex Finland Oyj from the company’s shareholders via a share swap. After completion of the planned transaction the shares will be publicly traded at Nordic Growth Market NGM in Stockholm and the company will get better access to the international financial markets.
