Wind Point Partners Announces Final Close of Oversubscribed Fund XI at $3.2 Billion
29.7.2026 15:00:00 EEST | Business Wire | Press release
Wind Point Partners (“Wind Point”), a leading Chicago-based private equity firm, today announced the successful closing of its latest fund, Wind Point Partners XI (“Fund XI” or the “Fund”). Fund XI was oversubscribed and exceeded the hard cap, with total commitments of $3.2 billion. This amount includes significant commitments by the General Partner and members of the firm’s Executive Advisor Partner (“EAP”) program, providing strong alignment across all investors in the Fund.
Fund XI represents Wind Point’s largest fund to date and its most global and diverse investor base in the firm’s 42-year history. Fund XI received commitments from more than 65 global institutions spanning 17 countries, including pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, family offices and foundations. Propelled by significant repeat support from existing investors, the efficient fundraise process was completed in under nine months.
Founded in 1984, Wind Point has a long history of partnering with top-caliber management teams under its Vision. Talent. Transformation.℠ ("VTT") strategy to drive transformational growth in well-positioned middle market businesses. The firm is active across the business services, industrial products and consumer products industries. Wind Point has completed more than 90 platform investments and 400 add-on acquisitions. The firm’s investment process is enhanced by its nearly 30-year EAP program currently comprising over 40 senior industry executives.
Wind Point’s Managing Directors, Nathan Brown, Paul Peterson, Alex Washington, Konrad Salaber and Joe Lawler, issued the following statement: “On behalf of the Wind Point team, we would like to convey our gratitude for the trust and partnership shown by so many quality institutions in Fund XI. We invest tremendous time and energy into the culture and quality of our team and strategy. The support we’ve received in this fundraise is a strong validation of our collective efforts. We believe Wind Point is very well-positioned for the long-term and we look forward to continued shared success alongside our valued partners.”
Nathan Brown added, "The success of this fundraise was built on the solid foundation of our repeat partners – some of whom have been investors with Wind Point for nearly three decades. We are off to a great start in Fund XI with two investments that align well with our VTT strategy. We look forward to continuing to execute at a high level and delivering strong results for our investors with Fund XI."
Ron Liberman, Wind Point’s Head of Investor Relations, commented, “It was clear early on that we would have a strong fundraise. And we owe that to our existing investors who were there for us in the first close, and in most cases, with larger commitments. We added more than 20 new institutions with Fund XI, including new wealth channels. Our team is energized by this outcome and eager to continue our firm’s momentum.”
In recent years, the Wind Point team has added depth and capabilities spanning Value Creation, Talent, Legal, Compliance and Finance & Accounting. The firm has 53 employees, with one office in Chicago, Illinois. In October, Wind Point will relocate its office to 333 Wolf Point Plaza in downtown Chicago to accommodate the team’s growth.
Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as fund counsel. Falcom Asset Management, POLARIS Investment Advisory AG and Thrive Alternatives Capital Advisory served as placement advisors.
