CEO Ari Hämäläinen: Major Changes and Strengthened Expertise at Norelco in 2026

Over the past year, we have witnessed how electrification, the energy transition, the growth of data centres, and the increasing importance of security of supply are reshaping the market around us. These developments create new opportunities for our customers, but they also bring new demands for solutions, services, and long-term partnerships. Norelco's role is to view our customers' needs as a whole and respond to them with broad expertise and uncompromising quality.

Growth in Finland and the Nordic Region

One of the most significant milestones of the year has been the expansion of our operations into Norway. The Norwegian energy and electrical infrastructure market offers considerable opportunities, and our goal is to establish a strong position as a provider of power distribution and automation solutions and services.

The launch of our expansion was highlighted by our participation in the ONS 2026 energy conference in Stavanger in August. The event gave us an excellent opportunity to show our expertise to an international audience and to meet new customers and partners. ONS reinforced our belief that Finnish expertise is highly valued beyond Finland's borders.

Growth is also evident in Finland. In August, we opened a new engineering and software design office in Jyväskylä. The new unit strengthens our capabilities in electrical and automation engineering as well as software development, supporting the growth of the entire group. At the same time, it provides even better opportunities to develop new solutions for our customers and attract new talent to our team.

TAS-Power Strengthened Our Automation Expertise

The acquisition of TAS-Power Oy, completed during the summer, was a significant step in Norelco's growth strategy. Through the transaction, we gained strong expertise in automation systems, PLC cabinets, and PLC programming, complementing our existing strengths and broadening our service offering.

Together, we can offer our customers more comprehensive solutions in power distribution, automation, and lifecycle services. The group structure has also become clearer: Norelco focuses on electrical and energy solutions, TAS-Power on automation expertise, and together we build seamless end-to-end solutions and services for our customers.

Investing in the Future

Growth is not achieved solely through new markets and acquisitions. Continuous improvement within our own operations is equally important.

In recent years, we have invested heavily in production development, automation, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence because continuous improvement lies at the core of our thinking. Our goal is to build Norelco for the long term, ensuring that we can serve our customers even more effectively in the years ahead.

At the same time, we remain committed to the values on which our business has been built: responsibility, trust, quality, technical excellence, and long-term customer relationships.
